Pink Blossom Events had the opportunity to design and coordinate the theme for Matthews Estate and we are looking forward to meeting you at the show! For this year’s event we wanted to utilize both the Tasting & Barrel Room and Estate House but making sure we kept with the same theme throughout. Succulents with pops of robin’s egg blue and burgundy led the way to a romantic rehearsal dinner in the Tasting & Barrel Room and an elegant picnic wedding reception up at the Estate House. As you tour Matthews Estate allow yourself to envision not only your wedding day but also the perfect location for your rehearsal dinner!

Kaspar's Special Events & Catering was truly transformed and full of life the night of The Knot Networking Event. Photos provided by BlueWing Photos.

Pink Blossom Events worked with Laurel's Floral Decor and Heathoriginal to create a theme based around the early fall season, bringing in moss, tree branches, and arrangements filled with dahlias which were in full glory. A splash of vintage romance blended all of the event spaces together with a color palate of browns, greens, apricots and plums.

A modern look differentiated the "Ready to Pop" room featuring The Bump and a gourmet popcorn station.

Guests enjoyed northwest beer from Redhook Brewery, Columbia Winery wine and fresh bits from Kaspar's in each room, while Bugsie Productions kept guests mingling throughout the evening.

Scout Vintage Rentals and Yellow Leaf Cupcake collaborated on a vintage dessert table.

A photo booth by 321 Foto added to the night's entertainment!

What a gorgeous day for a simply amazing couple! Paria & Farahmand were a joy to work with. From fine-tuning the details of the wedding day to incorporating their Persian traditions, this was one of my favorite weddings we were a part of in 2011. Alante Photography did a spectacular job of capturing the details, love and celebration of Paria & Farahmand's July 16, 2011 wedding!To say it simply, Paria made for a stunning bride! From her Maggie Sottero dress to her sparkling Jimmy Choos, she glowed with all day long. The look on her father’s face was priceless that morning before she walked down the aisle.
Farahmand looked pretty handsome as well in his tux from the Tuxedo Club.
Kimberly & Loren from Alante Photography captured these sweet moments between Paria & Farahmand as they saw each other for the first time before their grand celebrations began! Alante’s talents and styling were the perfect fit for this couple.
British Motor Coach provided the transportation services to Seattle for a few shots in the city. Such a beautiful family!The Cedar Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue was the regal location for their ceremony. With the classical gold & white touches, this backdrop was the perfect place for such a special occasion. Personal touches throughout the ceremony included memorable photos of Farahmand’s father and gifts given by the family. Thanks to Alishia Joubert who shared her musical talents on the harp. The celebrations continued with their grand entrance into the Regency Ballroom to kick of their reception and dinner! The candlelight and cascading white orchids by Floressence and drapery by Rented Elegance made for a truly elegant scene. This was more than Paria & Farahmand had imagined! The couple, along with their guests, enjoyed an amazing feast, delectable cake, petite desserts and stellar service from the staff at the Hyatt. It was a spectacular reception as guests enjoyed the graceful and colorful traditions of the Persian culture. The knife dance, performed by family members, was truly a fun, memorable experience!
Traditional first dances and cake cutting followed. DJ Masih did an amazing job keeping the dance floor full throughout the night. As the evening came to an end, Paria & Farahmand were able to put their feet up and savor the memories of their wedding day! Congratulations Paria & Farahmand!

Sarah & Lee were married at Lord Hill Farms this past July surrounded by their friends and family. Christopher Gendron Photography captured the day which began at French Creek Estates.

Venia Beauty provided on site hair and makeup services.

After their first glance Sarah and Lee captured photos around French Creek Estates, a nearby trail and downtown Snohomish. A pre-cocktail hour began at Lord Hill Farms. With harp music playing in the background, clouds soon began to roll in. Luckily for Sarah and Lee, the pre-cocktail hour allowed Pink Blossom Events the opportunity to move up the ceremony to avoid the approaching rain. As they said their I Do's the rain began, a close one indeed! Guests were soon whisked inside for the indoor reception! Purple and periwinkle filled the room which had a sweet scent from the lavender sachets awaiting each guest. Wedding photos from years past were placed throughout the room honoring their families. Toasts, cake cutting and first dances led into a night of dancing! This crowd loved to dance!

Kiana Lodge! Karen & John!

After a year of long distance phone calls and emails John and Karen had flown in from Africa this past July to celebrate their wedding day! It was a special weekend as their friends and family had also traveled in from all over the world to be there that day. Wanting to ensure their guests received a true Seattle experience, Pink Blossom Events helped plan their dream wedding at Kiana Lodge. GH Kim Photography arrived at Clearwater Casino as John and Karen were finishing getting ready. While John patiently waited outside, Karen put on the traditional Korean wedding dress for the first look of his bride to be! It was then back inside as Karen changed into her "official" wedding dress that she would then wear all day long. First look number two! Photos with their family and bridal party at Clearwater Casino. Ten minutes away Kiana Lodge awaited their arrival.Len Smolen officiated the ceremony overlooking the Hood Canal. The aisle was lined with blue and white lanterns and yellow rose petals. John and one of his groomsman sang a special song commemorating the ceremony. Lawn games filled the grounds as guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers outside the main lodge. Karen and John took a few moments to sign their license before being announced into the lodge for dinner. The lodge was decorated with pops of yellow and blue, perfect for a summer wedding. Dinning tables were covered with Ethiopian linens and centerpieces that featured cake stands adorned with yellow arrangements and cupcakes from The Yellow Leaf Cupcake Co. The two bars were accented with white and yellow cupcake wrapper lights created by Pink Blossom Events. While guests finished the Northwest themed dinner, the bridal party spoke of memories and stories they shared with the couple. The Maid of Honor even had Karen up on stage singing Karaoke to highlight one of many good times they shared! John and his sister ended toasts with a song dedicated to Karen. Cake and cupcakes were enjoyed! It was then time for their first dance! The bridal party even stepped in to finish off a first dance that all would remember as a highlight to the wedding day! It was a special wedding day that no one would soon forget!

Elizabeth & Brett!

After my initial phone meeting with Elizabeth, I knew her and Brett's August 6, 2011 wedding was going to be an amazing event to be a part of! Combining their love of animals, her Native American heritage and his Jewish upbringing meant a wedding full of unique details!

After photographing their pets over the years, Alyssa Rose Photography was there to document another special part of their lives as the bridal party got ready at The W Seattle the morning of their wedding! Even the ring bearer and flower girl were pampered that morning!

After their first glance, the bridal party was off to Discovery Park. Prior to the ceremony, Elizabeth and Brett signed the Ketubah that had been hand painted by the bride. The ceremony took place across the street from Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center inside Discovery Park with the Puget Sound as the backdrop. Rabbi Yohanna Kinberg officiated the ceremony that included both Jewish and Native American traditions. Jewish traditions included the chuppah and breaking of the glass while the wedding vase and blanket ceremonies tied in her Native American heritage.

With the breaking of the glass it was time to head inside Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center to celebrate! Upstairs guests nibbled on savory chickpea cakes, artichoke croquettes and sundried tomato hummus canapes prepared by Herban Feast Catering. Elizabeth's Pink Pearl and Brett's Hurricane were the night's signature drinks.

With dinner salads plated, the lush red curtains enclosing the cocktail hour parted to reveal the space below. Lush red draping and uplighting surrounded the entire space which was split into three rooms. The dinning area featured tables that were covered in black and white swirled linens displayed with centerpieces of cascading orchids and crystals. Table cards noting a donation to the ASPCA in each guests honor were featured at each place setting.

A tribute to the couples alma mater, WSU, was highlighted in the ice luge by Creative Ice. A lounge area featuring decor by Prop Gallery across the room was set for later that evening. The photobooth was the hot place to stop that evening!

A Love Story created by Edit 1 Media was played as guests enjoyed the all vegan menu prepared by Herban Feast Catering. Following dinner, Elizabeth and Brett raised their hand painted wine glasses after each toast. It was then time to cut their wedding cakes which featured two stunning cakes by Tallant House and the groom's cake by Mike's Amazing Cakes. Once the newlyweds stepped on the dance floor, it was time to party as Wave Link Music played hit after hit! A late night sushi bar was enjoyed by all later that evening! Guests were invited to take home a homemade dog bone by Tallant House as they left ensuring that even one's best friend was not forgotten! A unique addition to the favor table featured a carnation dog honoring the couple's dog that had recently passed. A custom gobo by Wave Link Music covered the walkway leading guests to their vehicles.

Mill Creek Country Club Wedding -Sarah & Kevin!

When I first met Kevin and Sarah to begin planning their dream wedding they mentioned their requirements were a fun, unique and entertaining wedding that would leave guests talking about the wedding for years to come! With a passion of golf, it was soon decided that their reception would be held at the Mill Creek Country Club and the details began falling into place. Solace Arts was onsite as the bridal party awoke early for hair and makeup at The Woodmark Hotel. Arriving at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton that morning, Kevin and Sarah were eager to see each other and say their I Do's as this planning process had definitely shown them that sometimes the "sickness and health" part can add a little unexpected stress on the planning process. It was far time to celebrate and live "happily ever after!" Pink Blossom Events was thrilled to help them relax and enjoy the day!

With their children by their side...... they were finally one! The reception continued nearby at Mill Creek Country Club as guests walked into the purple lit entry by Wave Link Music and headed through the indoor cocktail area for a stop at the photobooth by Solace Arts and then outside for cocktails, appetizers, and a putting contest! The top female and male putter each won an ipad so the stakes were high! A few more photos around the Country Club continued as the competition heated up! When the dinner hour rang, golf ball escort cards by Paper Fling could be found in a wheat grass display crafted by Flowers by Tiffany. Blue up-lighting, purple and white linens and blue hydrangea centerpieces created a stunning backdrop for the evening celebration! Tim of Beautiful Noise DJ used the golf inspired sign to quiet the guests before he announced the Newlyweds and then in turn cheer them on as they made their way into the party! With dinner finished, toasts, cake cutting and dancing ensued! The evening ended as Sarah and Kevin headed off to The Woodmark Hotel and their guests left with memories of a fun filled day!

We wanted to take a moment to express how very pleased we were with our decision to hire you to help plan our wedding on July 30, 2011. Your assistance throughout the planning process down to the big day itself was flawless. As you know all too well a wedding is a massive undertaking no matter the size or detail involved. We, on the other hand, had no idea until we walked the Wedding Show in January 2010, right after we were engaged. Although it was incredible and exciting to see all of the ideas, flowers, dresses, cakes, limo's, photographers, DJ's and more it was incredibly overwhelming.

...Although there is much I could go into the bottom line is your organization from day 1 up until our Wedding was impeccable. Not only did you keep us on track and in the loop the entire journey, you allowed us the freedom for our own exploration and always ready with ideas, options, photos, contact information or whatever assistance we needed and when we came to an impasse. The time you saved us just in researching, scheduling meetings, negotiations, etc. has to be the equivalent of days. No matter the topic or area you never failed to offer your insight without ever pushing us into anything, which we great appreciated!

I am sure I could go on for days but the bottom line is that your professionalism was always present and we both agree that we ABSOLUTELY couldn't have done this WITHOUT YOU! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything, we are extremely grateful to have shared one of the most exciting times of our lives with someone so wonderful, caring, considerate and FANTASTIC!

On July 28, 2011, Sarah and Kevin relaxed in the late evening sun as they gathered with close friends and family at Emory's On Silverlake for their Rehearsal Dinner. Solace Arts was there to capture every moment. Emory's pulled together a delicious menu of their favorites beginning with an appetizers. As the entrees were served, a champagne toast soon began. A perfect start to the wedding festivities!

San Juan Island Weddings!

Growing up in Seattle I spent summers camping in the San Juan Islands, and this summer when visiting San Juan Island to scout out wedding and event venues I got to experience camping in a whole new world. If you haven't heard the term "glamping" then I suggest you pack your bags and head off to Lakedale Resort on San Juan Island for a glamorous version of camping. To me camping usually involves a carload of coolers, sleeping bags, flashlights, a tent, dishware and all the supplies to live outside for a weekend. Yet when I visited Lakedale Resort I arrived with my overnight bag and a few extra essentials and the rest was waiting for me at my campsite. The canvas cabin I stayed in featured a queen size bed, both indoor and outdoor table and chairs, lanterns, bath linens and a continental breakfast right outside my cabin. In addition to the standard canvas cabin guests can choose to stay in the canvas cottage (pictured above) which has it's own bathroom and electricity; a very popular location for honeymooners! Lakedale Resort offers locations for weddings and events throughout the property and at the main lodge. The property also includes three lakes which are ideal for fishing, non-motorized sports and swimming. I took the opportunity to spend an afternoon touring the lakes on a paddle boat which gave me a chance to see all the surrounding beauty. With so many lodging options and activities onsite it truly is a destination location that your guests will enjoy!

Roche Harbor Resort

While on the island I took a tour of Roche Harbor Resort which is another spectacular location for weddings and events! Located in the heart of Roche Harbor there really is nothing like it. Guests can enjoy shopping, a stroll through the marina and activities including kayaking, swimming, tennis and whale watching. Or the opportunity to enjoy the ocean view from your hotel window. Roche Harbor offers a number of locations for your wedding from the sunken garden to the pavilion and courtyard. With onsite catering and amenities, the resort prides itself in being able to cater to almost all of your destination needs! Truly a destination location well worth traveling to! While visiting Roche Harbor Resort, I enjoyed a sunset dinner on the deck overlooking the marina at Madrona Bar & Grill, one of Rocher Harbor Resorts dining locations. The perfect way to end a day on San Juan Island!

San Juan Vineyards

Before boarding the ferry back home I made a stop at San Juan Vineyards which has become a must for see location for travelers on the Islands. San Juan Vineyards is located near Friday Harbor and is another great location for a wedding or event. With fields of grapes as your backdrop, San Juan Vineyards features a small chapel, a covered pavilion and wine made from grapes grown on the property!

San Juan Island really does have a venue for every wish. From a lakeside ceremony to an ocean front reception or a romantic vineyard setting, your guests will truly have a weekend to remember!

Celebrating the 70's!

Entertainment included a photo booth featuring a groovy flower backdrop and Twister!

With the help from Prop Gallery, Pink Blossom Events turned an exercise room into a Studio 54 Dance Party! The menu for the evening featured classic foods from the 70's.

Mary & Erin's Weekend Celebration!

As family and friends arrived for the Fourth of July weekend celebrations, welcome baskets created by Pink Blossom Events were waiting for them upon their arrival. Mary and Erin wanted to make sure all of their guests knew how truly special this weekend was for them!

Rehearsal Luncheon & Welcome Cruise ~ July 1, 2011
The festivities kicked off Friday with a morning rehearsal at The Woodmark followed by a rehearsal luncheon at Redhook Brewery. Custom pint glasses were given out as favors that featured the couples wedding logo! Later that evening their guests joined them for an Argosy Sunset Cruise through the Ballard Locks. Truly a perfect Seattle summer day!
Commitment Ceremony & Reception ~ July 2, 2011
After a year of planning from across the country, it was hard to believe their big day had finally arrived! (Photos by Dani Weiss Photography)
Mary & Erin were glowing as they saw each other for the first time that morning knowing their dreams had finally come true!Inside The Woodmark tent guests were surrounded by cascading orchids and acoustic music played by Mary's son. A longtime family friend officiated the heart warming ceremony featuring inspirational readings and prayers. After the ceremony guests mingled in the summer sun sipping peach bellinis and catching up with new and old friends. A luggage tag escort board created by Heathoriginal was displayed letting guests know where they would find their seats later into the reception.The tent was soon transformed and guests were invited to take their seats for lunch. The tables were decorated with photos and memorabilia from various trips the couple had been on. From the Bahamas to Ocean Shores and Kona, guests were taken back to all of the fun memories from Mary & Erin's shared together. The day ended with cupcakes, a traditional Norwegian wedding cake, dancing and a photo booth to capture the fun!

As guests waved them goodbye from shore, Mary & Erin cruised on by in The Woodmark boat.

As Chesley and TJ were about to commit their love to one another this May, the rain stopped, allowing for a picture perfect outdoor ceremony at Wallace Falls Lodge and a wedding day they had always dreamed about.
After running around all morning the flower girl had fallen asleep on her father's shoulder as she was about to walk down the aisle, but it made for a precious moment even if the father was a tad embarrassed!Once they said their vows and headed under cover for dinner, the brother of the groom surprised the couple with a letter from the bride's favorite artist, George Strait, congratulating the newlyweds!

I hired BreeAnn for my future daughter in law as a gift, when my son proposed to her. I have attended a few of BreeAnn's events, she has always done an amazing job! Right away, she set up a meeting to help us choose a venue , vendors and all the little details that go into planning a wedding. Over the course of the year, she kept us informed on timelines of when deposits were due, any equipment rentals, and communicated with all our vendors up to the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding she had everyone so organized with set up. She had the wedding party dressed, and ready for pictures. It was a relaxed and calm setting ( including Bride and Groom). The wedding started on time, and flowed perfectly the whole evening. She handled everything so professionally and was so nice to all our vendors and guests. Our guests commented the next day either by phone calls or email, that this was the best wedding they had ever been to! Our families agree. Seattle Road Dog's Brewery Tour!

After only a few months of business, Road Dog's Seattle Brewery Tour has become a popular tourist attraction for both locals and out of town guests! This summer I had the chance to take a tour and what a blast it was! From Hales Ales to Naked City Brewing, the tour provided both the eduction and thirst quenching fun it promised! While many catering companies pride themselves in their various specialties, there are those in Seattle who take pride in every aspect of their food to make sure they are serving the freshest foods around! This summer I had the opportunity to sit down with one of those companies, Kaspars Special Events & Catering, to experience first hand what the buzz is all about! I met with the catering team at Kaspars for a lunch that well exceeded my expectations! Kaspar prepared a delicious Chinook Salmon salad along with their homemade bread and an array of homemade desserts.Not only does Kaspars Catering serve clients at venues around the Puget Sound but also in their event space in the Queen Anne area of downtown Seattle. Their venue accommodates 220 guests for a sit down meal or 275 for a reception and can also serve groups of 10-75 in their smaller rooms. In addition to catering, Kaspars offers a number of team building events and cooking classes to entertain both co-workers and friends alike! Jennifer & Tim - Sodo Park - May 1, 2011

On May 1, 2011 Jennifer was jumping for joy as she was about to marry the man of her dreams! Jenny Jimenez captured the love, laughter and pure joy of the day. Erin Skipley attended to the bride and groom as they got ready at Hotel Vintage Park downtown Seattle! Even Tim had his hair and makeup spruced up for the big day! With a tug on the bow tie, Tim was ready to meet his leading lady!

From downtown it was off to Sodo Park where the Bridal Party awaited. Pink Blossom Events transformed Sodo Park into a vintage setting complete with vintage postcards, books and other memorabilia coordinating with their chocolate, teal and cream color scheme. Succulents cascading out of vintage jars surrounded the room along with arrangements by Elements in Bloom. A "Love Rocks" guest book, crafted by the couple, greeted guests as they arrived. This unique guest book included small rocks that guests could write messages on with colored sharpies. Prior to walking down the aisle Jennifer and Tim signed the Ketubah which was later displayed during the reception. The flower girl (waving her wand) and the ring bear (sporting a briefcase with rings and special "ceremonial" buttons) led the way down the aisle lined with boxes of succulents designed by Elements in Bloom. Jennifer and Tim were married under the Chuppah which featured individually crafted fabric scores by their closest friends and family. With a breaking of the glass, it was time to celebrate! Photos of the couple mixed in with vintage memorabilia filled the cocktail hour. Vintage postcards were fashioned into escort cards letting guests know where they would be seated once the dinning hour struck. Guests had a chance to view the Chuppah which was on display during the cocktail hour. While friends and family congratulated the newlyweds, the space was converted for the reception. The dinning tables featured homemade chocolate favors complete with vintage tags. In addition, aisle arrangements were used as centerpieces ensuring that nothing was wasted! Herban Feast delighted taste buds with their blackberry mesclun salad followed by entrees of herb crusted beef tenderloin, maple-miso glazed copper river salmon and crispy quinoa cakes. Toasts soon followed as the bride and groom toasted with their toad inspired toasting glasses which were painted by the couple who had spent a day at a local paint-your-own ceramics studio weeks prior to the wedding. Following toasts, Jennifer and Tim revealed the unique touch on their cutting cake, a blue velvet cake, ensuring no detail was untouched! The evening continued as Bamboo Beats filled the dance floor! The late night photobooth let guests show their "creative" sides! As the party ended Starline Luxury Coaches transported the guests back to their hotels while Jennifer stashed pesos in preparation for their Mexican honeymoon just hours later!

However, if you suffer from food allergies, you soon realize that the options to cure your sweet tooth may be far and few between. Luckily for those of us living in Seattle, Jodee's Desserts in Greenlake offers a variety of delicious organic choices, including wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and low glycemic desserts made from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients. I was introduced to Jodee's Desserts this spring and had a chance to sample a number of their desserts. I must say, the Key Lime Pie was my favorite, but all were winners! Honoring Those Who Served

As we pause for a moment this Memorial Day to honor those we have lost in the call of duty it brings upon a question of how you can honor your heroes at your wedding? Through the years I have seen numerous ways that my clients have honored those friends and family members who have served, are in active duty and unable to attend or those we are remembering who fought for our freedom.For example, a couple of years ago at my sister's wedding, many of their friends were unable to attend the wedding, including the best man, due to the fact that he was overseas. To honor the best man, a custom beer pint glass filled with his favorite brew was placed at his seat on the head table. In addition one of the groomsmen read his toast to the newlyweds during the reception. It was a simple, yet fitting way to include him in the wedding.

Other ways to honor those in the military include incorporating yellow ribbons in the decor or a framed photograph of the person being honored. Or in the above photo their dog tag is used as an adornment to the bridal bouquet.

Lindsey & Logan's Feburary Nuptials!

Every client that I work with has that special touch or personality that makes their wedding shine above the rest. It just so happens that my favorite part about Lindsey and Logan's February wedding didn't just occur on the wedding day, but each step along the way! As a bride, Lindsey made sure that all of their paper goods, from the Save the Date to the custom photo strip photo folder, were elegant and uniquely theirs, setting the tone for the wedding! The first piece that guests saw was a custom map and Save the Date by Elizabeth Danae. It was simply stunning! Then a few months before the wedding, the actual invites designed by Lindsey and Paper Fling were sent out which drew more raves! It was sure to be a spectacular event!Lindsey and Logan's wedding day began at The Rainier Club as Rubin Weddings captured each moment! As the bride and her bridesmaids finished up hair and makeup with Salon Maison, Logan and his groomsmen were competing in a ruthless game of foosball in another nearby room. Once preparations were done, the bridal party was taken, in luxury, by British Motor Coach to Blessed Sacrament Church where family photos began. As the winter sun shined brightly outside, the warm soft pinks of Ring Around the Rose's floral pieces delighted us all! As guests arrived, they were escorted to their seats by the ushers and the sounds of the Blessed Sacrament Musicians. Lindsey was simply stunning as she made her grand entrance with her father by her side. As they said their I Do's smiles and applause surrounded the newlyweds who were escorted off to Gasworks Park for photos! While the Bride and Groom took a few last photos, guests were entertained by Michael Benson's Cocktail Jazz duo as they sipped on signature cocktails (Black Pearls & Pink Lemondrops!) and appetizers by The Rainier Club! In addition, 321 Foto kept the guests laughing throughout the evening! My favorite part of the photobooth were the Photobooth Tickets inside each escort card created by the Bride's Aunt... ...and the custom Photo Strip Photo Folders by Paper Fling thanking each guest for coming! As the dinner bell rang the party moved into the dining room that had been transformed into a lush landscape of peonies and other lovelies by Ring Around the Rose! Place cards handmade by the Bride's Aunt were adorned with a single miniature rose, yet again another stunning detail dreamed up by the bride! Once guests were seated, the bride and groom were announced into the Heritage Room which was then followed by a special welcome toast by the Father of the Bride kicking off a gourmet dinner of the couples favorite foods! The toast of course, was not complete without the champagne that had been pre-poured for each guest! As the guests enjoyed each course, Michael Benson played background piano music. When the dinner neared an end and champagne flutes were replenished, toasts were given by the two Maids of Honor and Best Man. As a surprise to the groom, the Best Man decided to play a little fun and placed embarrassing photos of the groom under each table! It gave everyone a good chuckle! With Lindsey & Logan's lead, guests moved to the Rainier Room to celebrate the rest of the evening! Lindsey and Logan kicked off the party with their first dance and cutting of the cake.Once cake cutting was complete, a night of dancing followed! I must say I wasn't sure if it was the sugar in the cake by The People's Cake or the music of the Michael Benson Band, but this crowd sure did know how to dance! As the night went on, guests nibbled on late night snacks of mini grilled cheese sandwiches and mini sliders with golden garlic fries! However, the best part came as guests got to make their own s'mores in the roaring fire in the Rainier Room. It was a big hit along with the signature cocktail that was passed featuring a Hot Bailey's Irish drink! With the last song of the night playing in the background, guests stood on The Rainier Club's terrace and waived goodbye to the newlyweds who were heading off to their hotel in a vintage vehicle from British Motor Coach!

Easter Beer Hunt!

What started with a group of six friends trying a new spin on the Easter Egg Hunt back in 2007 has now turned into the Annual Easter Beer Hunt and this April will mark year number five! As each year progresses, the excitement continues to build and I wanted to share some fun ideas for you to host your own Easter Beer Hunt! Who says Easter is just for kids?

Decor Ideas

What to ask each guest to bring? Each guest is asked to bring a six pack of their favorite beer. Then depending on the menu for that night, you can ask each guest to bring an appetizer or entree for a potluck dinner or provide your own Easter feast for your guests.

How to play? 1. After all the guests have arrived, designate two people to hide all of the beers outside while the rest of the group hides inside. Be sure to set a boundary of where the hiding will occur and also count the exact number of beers that are hidden to ensure your guests find all bottles of beer. 2. Once all of the beers are hidden, have each guest grab an empty beer container and let the hunt begin! 3. Winner is determined by who finds the most number of beers. 4. Give out prizes for the top three winners. Prizes may vary from a basket full of Easter candy to a cash prize! Time to eat and celebrate! Easter is a fun way to incorporate some of our favorite foods of the year including deviled eggs, ham and potato salad. Why not include those plus some fun items to mix with the beer theme? Soft pretzels, peanuts and my favorite for those of you having a bonfire are peep smores! Wishing you a successful Easter Beer Hunt and a Hoppy Easter!

2011 Voila! Wedding Show Recap!

On March 20, 2011 Panache and Pink Blossom Events hosted the second annual Voila! Wedding Show at the Woodmark Hotel. Brides, grooms and their wedding parties spent the afternoon getting acquainted with local vendors as they sipped signature cocktails and sampled seasonal sweets and appetizers. The theme of our event is inspired by the seasons, with each of four events spaces at The Woodmark Hotel designated to spring, summer, autumn and winter; with harmonizing tabletops, floral designs and decorating ideas. As with any event, the Voila! Wedding Show would not have been possible without all of those who supported us on this endeavor! Our gratitude extends to AA Party who provided us with everything from chairs to tables to glassware and linens, Linens by Alice and Express Linen Rentals for donating the specialty linens, Incentive Solutions for donating the Voila! bags and to the Woodmark Hotel for allowing us the opportunity to showcase our event at their venue! Spring
Theme ~ Spring Blossoms As guests made their way down the spiral staircase to the Voila! Wedding Show, they were instantly immersed into the bright colors of spring and the sounds of Bugsie Productions! Bright blues, lime greens and accents of yellow highlighted the room designed by Pink Blossom Events, Panache, Laurel's Floral Decor, Heathoriginal and Ephemera. To match the blue swirl linen by Express Linen Rentals, Laurel, owner of Laurel's Floral Decor, created over the top floral pieces which accented the tabletop and room decor. To add a touch of spring fun, Heathoriginal and Ephemera's paper goods knocked our socks off with their unique touches ranging from "Love flags" to the custom bride and groom chair adornments stating "I'm Her Mr." and "She's His Mrs." Too cute! Moulton's Garden Bon Bon's were a fitting favor to this tablescape.

Summer
Theme ~ English Garden Party
With an outdoor garden vision, Panache and Pink Blossom Events enlisted the help of Christian's Plant & Tree Rental and Fena Flowers to bring the outdoor elements inside the Woodmark's Tent. A hand written sign by Pascal Collins Calligraphy directed guests into the "English Garden Party" where a display of programs, doubling as fans, and favor boxes by Paper Fling, noting guests table numbers, greeted them. The lilac and pink summer vignette featured, four small guest rounds, park benches, an aisle lined with boxwood planters, a backdrop of trees and grass donated by Make A Scene. This is the perfect example of how you can create a single area for both the ceremony and reception by having your guests seated at their tables during the ceremony. The English garden party tablescapes were inspired by an afternoon tea party! From the linens provided by Linens by Alice to teacups entwined with the menu to the petite fours by Tallant House, one wouldn't mind spending the afternoon at this wedding! As Smooth Grove played soft background music newlyweds took their photos in the Say Cheez Photo Booth, spoke with vendors, sipped Sweet Things (Tea Infused Vodka and Lemonade) and dined on Gazpacho Shots and Dungeness Crab Salad on Cucumber by the Woodmark and sweets by Tallant House! Before leaving summer, guests were shown a simple and unique favor idea of miniature azelea's from Fena Flowers wth custom tags and wrapping by Paper Fling! Summer Vendors

Autumn
Theme ~ Luxurious Harvest Walking into the Autumn great room you were immediately drawn to the thought of family and fall abundance with the long family style table featured as the room's focal point. Woodland Flowers, known for their lush arrangements, created the perfect centerpiece for this tablescape falling in line with the seasons burgundy and gold color scheme drawn from the kimono linen from Linens by Alice. The dishes from AA Party were surrounded by paper goods by Silberman Brown and a favor box filled with chocolate covered fruits from Chukar Cherries. Guests were not only delighted with the seasons desserts of cupPies by Shoefly Pie Company and Chukar Cherries chocolate treats but the Pomegranate Cosmo and Miniature Apple and Blue Cheese Quiche passed by the Woodmark were delicious!

Winter
Theme ~ Black & White Vintage with a Modern Twist! Pulling from an array of our favorite ideas, Panache and Pink Blossom Events worked with A Tailored Affair, Ring Around the Rose and Valerie's Invites to create a room that had a look all it's own! The winter ballroom featured a typewriter guest book provided by Pink Blossom Events and an escort board inspired by a checkers board game. The bride and groom were then placed underneath a chuppah built by A Tailored Affair and decorated with white orchids by Ring Around the Rose. For the reception table AA Party's silver chivari chairs with floral chair back covers circled the black and white ribbon linen from Express Linen Rentals. Valerie's Invites added place cards, chalkboard table numbers and a floral paper rosette to each place setting to create this stunning look! Ring Around the Rose, as always, displayed a gorgeous floral piece for the table. To top off the tables, Cheryl, owner of Cookie Fairy, made handmade bride and groom cookie favors that were at each place setting. We can guarantee that you will not have many favors left if you have these at your wedding! To match the swirl pattern, Creative Cake Designs, featured a cake that coordinated with the table linens. As pianist Jennifer Iovanne serenaded the crowd, brides to be enjoyed warm coffee drinks by Mocha Motion, a Winter Mint Martini and Appetizers of Kahlua Pork on Taro Chips and Vegetable Risotto Cakes by the Woodmark!

Hosts
Panache and Pink Blossom Events!
As the hosts of this event, Panache and Pink Blossom Events spend months making sure every little detail is planned and ready to be executed on event day! With this in mind, we centered our display area around how we go about designing each room and bringing our ideas together. Flanking each of our display tables, we displayed inspiration boards showing event attendees how we start with a photo or one simple idea and design the rooms from there. To begin with, we must choose the linens and tableware for each room then we meet with our vendors to let them go wild! Of course, we have to be certain that no two rooms feature the same theme or color scheme! In addition to the inspiration boards, our display area included an "Ask The Planner" section where brides, grooms and all involved could ask their most burning wedding questions!

In addition to the four seasons guests had the opportunity to visit Woodmark guest rooms and walk outside to view vehicles on display from Butler Transportation, British Motor Coach and Crown Limousine. At the end of the day brides, grooms and their wedding parties were energized, excited and loaded with ideas and resources to help check off their to-do lists. As for those who won the door prizes, they were beaming with joy as they discussed how they would incorporate their gifts into their wedding day and our Grand Prize Winner was busily deciding which weekend she would be visiting Sonoma Valley for the Wine Weekend Getaway!

Voila! It's easy, it's fun and it's done!

Birthday Scavenger Hunt!

To celebrate my 27 Birthday this March a group of friends participated in a Birthday Scavenger Hunt ending in a dinner at one of my favorite sushi restaurants, Wasabi Bay! With a list of 27 items to find, four teams of three people were sent searching Mill Creek with cameras in hand to capture each find. The scavenger hunt was a great way to get all of us excited and laughing until the night ended! Take a peak below at some of our fun!The final item to find was "The Best Free Birthday Gift." There were many good finds but I think the birthday balloon that was found in the trash may be the winner! Although I decided it was best to keep it there...Thinking of planning your own scavenger hunt? Be sure to consider your group, the ages of the participants, number of nearby stores or restaurants and the geographical area you are covering. If you are looking at making this a large event, possibly consider adding transportation or letting Pink Blossom Events plan your hunt!

Pink Blossom Events worked with Events on The Edge to coordinate a mock ceremony and reception showcasing the area's top wedding professionals. It was an entertaining evening that left guests excited to plan their own nuptials! A big thank you to Lorbaniah Cameography and Azzura Photography for capturing the event! Hair styles were done at Swink Style Bar for the wedding party! The bride looked stunning in the gown from La Belle Elaine's while the groom was just as dashing in his tux from Hill Street Cleaners. Aria Style's bouquets and boutonnieres completed the look with their always gorgeous floral pieces!

After their first look, the fun began as Azzura Photography captured the couple around Pan Pacific Hotel! From the cobblestone entrance to the artwork scattered around the hotel, the Pan Pacific provides a photographers dream backdrop!

While final preparations were being completed and the bridal party was in their suite touching up hair and makeup, guests arrived at the hotel and were given a Swag Watering Can filled with green favors! Garden seeds from A Heavenly Ceremony, Seedlings from The GreenWorld Project and Garden Bon Bons from Pink Blossom Events and Stella & Dot Jewelry to name just a few! Plus the new issues of both Seattle Bride and Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom awaited the guests! The ceremony featured the creative talents of Celeste Cooning and Aria Style. Celeste's paper art was the backdrop for the ceremony which was highlighted against the brown draping and amber uplighting by Aria Style. Aria Style's hurricane votives and wheat grass centerpieces accented the brown aisle runner. Programs designed by Paper Passionista and green apple favors by Lorbaniah Cameography adorned each chair. With promises of a green living and a hand holding signifying a "web of blessings" by the guests, the bride and groom, Eva Blissful Greenberg and Justin Thyme, said "I Do!" Once the ceremony was finished guests made their way into the Lakefront Room for the reception! The room was decorated in a green and white palate continuing with the green theme that evening. The centerpiece created by Aria Style featured a wheat grass base and green apples fitting for any Washington wedding! The GreenWorld Project's Tree Saplings provided the perfect favor for each place setting! As guests sampled food from Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar, some of the finest vendors in the area were on hand to answer their wedding questions. As the bride and groom were announced into the Lakefront Room's reception, Pink Blossom Events and the Pan Pacific staff were busy flipping the ceremony room (Cascade Room) from a ceremony to a live music lounge!The paper art backdrop by Celeste Cooning remained the focal point of the room as the Michael Benson Band setup stage. To reuse the centerpiece arrangements, Aria Style re-purposed them for table centerpieces throughout room along with their brown lounge furniture to set the tone for the evening! Local vendors and a champagne bar made this room a must see space! One of my favorite parts of the evening was watching local artist, Sam Day, paint a picture of the event as it was happening. You can see the progression of the painting throughout the evening in these photos but I must say to watch this is person is a real treat and a very unique addition to any event!

In addition to watching Sam, guests mingled throughout the venue being treated to mini spa treatments by Vida Spa and the photobooth by 321 Foto! As the reception continued, the Mother of the Bride, Rosemary Greenberg, and Ginger Thyme, the Mother of the Groom, gave a musical rendition of their toast to the newlyweds! Hysterical! Then it was time for the cake cutting. Bonnie of New Renaissance Cakes created the cake which featured a four leaf clover that matched the invitation by Paper Passionista along with a wheat grass base, almost too pretty to cut into! Once the cake was cut, the newlyweds shared their first dance! And of course we couldn't finish off the evening without the ceremonial bouquet and garter tosses! The prizes included a free night stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel and 2 tickets to a Woodman Lodge Events On The Edge Mystery Dinner!
