Gabby & Joe ~ June 29, 2013

With the Seattle skyline in the background, Gabrielle and Joe tied the knot at Within Sodo this past June. That day the heat was at an all time high in Seattle and Pink Blossom Events has a hunch that all the heat was brought by Gabrielle's family and friends who all arrived from Australia to celebrate her and Joe's wedding day!
After sharing their First Look at the Alexis Hotel, Gabby and Joe along with their Bridal Party who happened to be their siblings, set foot for Pike Place Market with MKippen Photography.
Guests arrived at Within Sodo and were guided to the rooftop. In spirit of Gabby's love of Disney, Mickey Mouse heads could be found in both obvious and not so noticeable places.
Having families in both Washington and Australia, Gabby and Joe, had done a good amount of traveling and wanted to incorporate that throughout their wedding day. A custom map of the world acted as a guest book and in lieu of a traditional wedding program, a "Wedding Safety Guideline" card was handed out noting the evenings activities.
Gabby and Joe said their vows underneath a custom arch made by the Father of the Groom. Wanting to mimic the clean lines of the rooftop area and keep things simple, the arch was a perfect addition to their wedding.
Wanting all of their guests to witness the signing of the marriage license, Gabby and Joe signed their marriage license during the ceremony. After sealing their commitment with a kiss, cocktail hour kicked off the reception! Appetizers included pulled pork sliders and tofu and vegetable dumplings by Shooby Doo Catering. Following cocktail hour everyone headed downstairs for dinner. Taking note on the "Where in the World are you Sitting?" escort board, guests found their seats (named after cities they've been to) and cheered on as the newly named husband and wife were announced! Keeping with the modern and simple look, tables covered in white linens were highlighted with turquoise napkins and tables alternated with white or turquoise candles sticks. Disney themed Mr. and Mrs. signs adorned Gabby and Joe's chairs.
After enjoying a buffet dinner, champagne was passed and toasts began!
A number of memorable toasts gave way to cake cutting, dancing and a photo booth!
With the summer sun setting and the heat of the day dissipating (to a cool 80+ degrees), guests enjoyed the city lights from the rooftop.
Congratulations Gabrielle & Joe!

BreeAnn Gale from Pink Blossom Events was the best money we spent on our wedding. We were planning our wedding from Australia (Bride Australian...Groom Seattleite) and BreeAnn put all our worries at ease. Our main requirement was that we wanted someone to take care of everything on the day so our friends and family could just relax and enjoy the day. BreeAnn delivered on this plus more. As we couldn't meet in person BreeAnn was happy to set up meetings over the Internet and answer all our emails. She was professional, knowledgeable and friendly and we would recommend Pink Blossoms Events to any couple getting ready to tie the knot!! ~ Gabby

Christina & Caleb ~ August 10, 2013

With Christina's Grandma a resident at Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, Christina felt at home when she got ready the morning of her wedding with her bridesmaids by her side. Not too far away, Caleb and his groomsmen got dressed at their wedding venue, The Cascade Club at Trilogy at Redmond Ridge. Photos by Jean-Marcus Strole Photography.
After seeing each other for the first time near the venue's fountain, photos with their family and bridal party began.
With the August sun shining over the Cascade Terrace, the Beatles “Here Comes The Sun” and Dixie Cups “Going to the Chapel,”accompanied the processional. Christina made her grand entrance to an instrumental version of one of her favorite Beauty and The Beast songs.
With family being the most important part of their day, Christina and Caleb made sure they were not forgotten. During the ceremony, their father’s placed flowers next to photos of family members who could not be there. The Bride’s sister was able to watch the ceremony by Skyping in from Children’s Hospital.
Standing in front of a white rod iron arch, Christina and Caleb exchanged vows.
After being announced husband and wife for the first time, the newlyweds recessed to the Turtles “Happy Together.” After a big group photo, cocktail hour on the Cascade Terrace began. The Terrace featured an outdoor fireplace with lounge furniture (a hit later that night) and cocktail tables adorned with melon linens complete with burlap sashes. Guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, lawn games and the sounds of live jazz played by the Bride's friends.
As cocktail hour wrapped up, Paella that had been made on-site by the Paella King had finished cooking and guests were invited inside the Crystal Room. Guest tables were draped in white linens and burlap runners along with melon napkins. Mismatched white vases filled with bright summer flowers made for the perfect summer centerpiece.
After a welcome toast and blessing by the Father of the Bride, the buffet opened and paella was enjoyed by everyone! Dinner included live music by a pianist as well as a picture slideshow of Christina and Caleb.
A round of heartfelt toasts was followed by cake-cutting. The delicious 3-tiered cake from Hoffman's included flavors of vanilla cake with mocha creme, lemon curd and raspberry crème fillings.
With the cake cut, it was time to start dancing! The newlyweds swayed to Michael Buble's “Everything” while the Temptations “My Girl” was played for the joint Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance.
The Newlywed Shoe Game along with the bouquet and garter toss were held under the stars on the Cascade Terrace.
As the last song (“I’ve Had The Time of My Life”) of the night played, guests were invited outside for a sparkler send-off as the newly named, husband and wife, left in a blue drop-top Lincoln Continental.
Congratulations Christina & Caleb!

Andrea, I can't thank you enough! That was amazing. I enjoyed working with you and getting to know you. We couldn't have done it without you. I will recommend you to anyone I have the opportunity to. :) Thank You!

Rachel & Dominic ~ September 1, 2013

After meeting the summer of 2007 at Cucina Cucina in Tacoma when Rachel had come back from Western Washington University to work for the summer; she a cocktail waitress and Dominic the Bar Manager, they knew they had started a great friendship that would last a lifetime. At the end of that summer Rachel went back to Western and their lives took two different paths. They stayed in communication through Dominic's little sister Nicole who became one Rachel's best friends. It wasn't until September of 2010 that they were reunited once again through some crafty cupid work from Nicole. This time it was unconditional true love, and they began to seriously think about their future together. A little over two years later on December 1st, 2012 Dominic proposed and Rachel accepted, leading them to their wedding day on September 1, 2013 on Mercer Island. Simply Sonja Photography was on hand to capture their wedding ceremony at Luther Burbank Park and reception at Mercer Island Community and Event Center
That morning Sonja and her bridesmaids got ready at the Bellevue Westin while Dominic and his groomsmen enjoyed a casual brunch at home before seeing each other for the first time at Luther Burbank Park. Along with Dominic and Rachel's first look, Rachel and her Father shared that same special moment.
Soon the bridal party joined in photos and great fun was had on the playground!
With a good distance between where guests parked at Mercer Island Community and Event Center and the North Point at Luther Burbank Park, besides walking, golf carts were the preferred mode of transportation that afternoon.
As guests made their way to their seats, their eyes focused on a memory table honoring grandparents who had passed before walking through a fabric entrance created by Prop Gallery.
Along the shores of Lake Washington, Rachel and Dominic said their "I Do's."
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the outdoor terrace at Mercer Island Community and Event Center for Cocktail Hour. The terrace featured burgundy and mango colored roses along with accents of bright clementine oranges.
After signing their marriage license and snapping a few family photos, the newlyweds joined the fun!
When the doors to the Mercer Room opened, guests made their way to tables that were covered in lush ivory linens and floral arrangements featuring ivory, white and peach flowers highlighted with bright green accents. Each place setting held caramel favors. The room itself had been transformed with ivory fabric treatments that covered both the walls and ceiling.
After the newlyweds were announced, a buffet dinner featuring cesar and spinach salads; penne pasta with vodka tomato basil sauce paired with Italian meatballs and Italian link sausages; penne pasta with a pesto sauce; seasonal roasted vegetables; a prime rib cutting station and a roasted turkey cutting station opened. Once guests had gone through the buffet, a slideshow created by Rachel's sisters was played leaving not a dry eye in the house. Once dinner plates were cleared, a champagne toast followed and soon after, Dominic and Rachel cut their cake which made way for the opening of their dessert bar that enticed guests with pies baked by friends and family and a variety of cupcakes.
Loved ones celebrated the night away with dancing and fun in the photo booth.
With the last song of the night played, friends and family lined the outside of Mercer Island Community and Event Center and sent the newly titled husband and wife off with bubbles and well wishes. The party was not yet over as that send-off led to an after party at Aston Manor in SoDo Seattle!

Congratulations Rachel & Dominic!

Marlee & Jared's Wedding - September 7, 2013

This past September Pink Blossom Events headed down to the base of Mt. Rainier for a three day wedding weekend at Wellspring Spa in Ashford, Washington. With family and friends from around the states bunking at Wellspring Spa, Marlee and Jared kicked off the weekend with a BBQ Dinner Friday evening catered by Simply Organic Cafe & Catering. Despite heavy rains that day, the event was the perfect start to a weekend full of celebrations! The next morning the skies cleared and sunshine brought smiles and dryer grounds making way for a perfect wedding day captured by Becerra Photography.

Up in the woods near the ceremony sanctuary, Marlee and her bridesmaids got ready in the Bridal Cottage. Marlee's father who owns a local Aveda salon helped with hair and makeup. Down in the Grace West Cottage, Jared made final touches to his vows before getting ready. Both Jared and Marlee took turns writing passages in their journal which has been passed between them throughout the years.
It was a full family affair helping with the setup of lighting that morning.
Jared and his groomsmen took a quick dip in the hot tub and watched as Marlee's father and brother helped Jared shave.
Not seeing each other prior to the ceremony, Marlee and Jared each took pictures with their bridal parties as well as family making sure not to get a glimpse of each other.

Parking at the bottom of the hill near the entrance of Wellspring Spa, guests chose to either walk up the road to the Ceremony Sanctuary or hop a ride via the shuttle system courtesy of family vehicles and drivers. A violinist and accordion duo welcomed guests as they picked up a refreshing drink after the walk in and a kraft paper bag filled with lavender buds for tossing when the couple is pronounced husband and wife!
Marlee and her father shared a few laughs and deep breaths before heading down the aisle to meet her groom for the first time.
Our favorite part of the ceremony incorporated a spin on The Seven Blessings. Rather than the traditional Seven Jewish Blessings, Marlee and Jared asked seven friends and family to give their own interpretation of a blessing and present it to them that day. Each person gave a unique blessing that was truly from the heart whether it was wisdom, advice or a poem guiding them through their marriage.
As lavender buds were tossed, Marlee and Jared walked up to the Bride's Cottage to sign the marriage license. Led by the duo from Pearl Django, guests were escorted through the woods down to cocktail hour. On the path goodie bags for each kid were presented for them to enjoy during the evening.
After signing their marriage license, bridal party and family photos were taken before Marlee and Jared stole some time away underneath the glow of the rays of sunshine streaming through the woods.
While photos were being taken, friends and family enjoyed lawn games, beverages and an antipasto station featuring cheese, crudités, fruit, nuts, olives, dips and crackers; a watermelon and mint Salad and a fig, gorgonzola and hazelnut crostini during cocktail hour on the Gazebo Lawn. Mason Jar mugs were used as both beverage holders and favors.
On display were a few of Marlee and Jared's favorite response cards from their wedding invitations.
Over on the lawn in front of the Turiya Cabin, long barnwood farm tables were set with burlap runners and bud vases. Patio lights hung overhead to provide lighting after the sun set.
With dinner tables set, a dinner bell was rang and guests moved in for dinner catered by Sunshine's All Naturals. A buffet filled with local and organic foods included chicken with raisin hazelnut chutney; spice grilled local wild salmon; pasta with roast market vegetables and hazelnut pesto; artisanal bread; grilled Market Vegetables with purple basil; an heirloom tomato platter with sherry shallot vinaigrette and a mixed green salad with blackberries, goat cheese and hazelnuts. A kids buffet hosted crispy chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, fresh vegetables, and fruit salad.
Journals asking guests various questions acted as guestbooks were placed on each table.
With the cutting of the pie, guests grabbed a slice of pie and ice cream then refilled their beverages in anticipation of upcoming toasts.
When Marlee's mom came up for her toast she surprised everyone with a performance of All You Need is Love by a local musician. Soon everyone in attendance was singing along making for one unforgettable toast.
With dessert and toasts finished, the Sounds of Pearl Django brought guests over to the reception lawn for dancing and fun in the photo booth.
An impromptu first dance kicked off a late night of dancing underneath the moonlight.
Congratulations Marlee & Jared! Thank you for letting Pink Blossom Events be a part of your wedding weekend - truly a once in a lifetime experience!
