Emily & Adam's Wedding ~ August 24, 2013

After meeting each other while working at Amazon, Adam proposed to Emily on a camping trip in the Redwood Forest in northern California and later tied the knot and celebrated with friends and family on August 24, 2013 at Hotel 1000Pink Blossom Events had the pleasure of working with Emily & Adam throughout the planning process from venue selection to design through the last dance and couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. We appreciated Emily & Adam's desire to make the wedding not only about their union but the fact that their families would be celebrating together in Seattle which would give them a chance to treat them the entire weekend. This included not only one fabulous wedding day but also a killer rooftop welcome dinner for all of their guests the night before and *welcome bags greeting guests as they arrived at Hotel 1000 for the wedding weekend both organized with Pink Blossom Events help.
Mike Kane Photography captured their wedding day starting with getting ready shots as Salon Maison provided onsite hair and makeup services for the girls.
With final touches complete, Emily & Adam were ready to be one! After a promise not see each other until the ceremony, Emily and Adam spent the day apart in different areas of the hotel.
Clear glass test tubes filled with purple and white flowers hung against lush silver draping flanked by eggplant purple drapes which provided a truly unique backdrop for their ceremony in the Terrace Room at Hotel 1000.
Guests eagerly anticipated the start to the ceremony as Emily spent a few minutes of quiet time with her father.
With everyone in their place, Adam took his position up front and watched Emily make her entrance down the aisle which was adorned with freestanding purple and white floral arrangements on contemporary dark pedestals designed by Christopher Flowers.
A mutual friend ordained the ceremony bringing laughter and tears to the room.
After they were pronounced husband and wife, and had a few minutes alone to soak it all in, Emily and Adam were greeted with hugs and congratulations as they signed their marriage license.
With the ceremony over, guests mingled in the foyer featuring cocktail tables covered in steel crush fabric treatments and topped with white ceramic vases filled with purple floral along with the full bar highlighted by silver draping and floral test tubes mirroring the ceremony backdrop. While sipping on cocktails, trays of  Caprese Skewers, Dungeness Crab & Green Apple Salad on Brioche and Pulled Pork Sliders with Apple Slaw were passed. 
As loved ones enjoyed cocktail hour, Emily, Adam, their immediate families, Adam's Best Man and Emily's Maid of Honor headed outside for a few quick photos.
With the Terrace transformed from ceremony to a dinner reception, Bamboo Beats invited guests to dinner. Metallic white boxes filled with Theo Chocolates Pink Salted and Hazelnut Gianduja chocolates served duel purpose as escort cards. 
Guests sat around tables covered in eggplant purple linens topped with a gray chevron runner. Individual places settings featured white square chargers wrapped with an eggplant napkin and place cards noting their entree selections. Each table displayed a different modern purple and lavender floral arrangement set inside a metallic container along with customized guestbooks asking each table a different question for the Newlyweds. Questions included; what's the one thing we should do together in the first year of marriage; where do you see us in 10 years; what's the best marriage advice you've ever received; how should we celebrate our first anniversary; how should we divide the household chores; what trip should we take before having kids; and when did you know we would be together for the long haul?  
With the sun set and the Italian bistro lights overhead at flow glow, champagne was passed and toasts of memories past and memories to come were told. 
Following the ceremonial cutting of the cake, the dance floor opened up and a custom ice cream sandwich bar by Hotel 1000 hit the sweet spot! Pre-made ice cream sandwiches of Oreo Cookie with Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Cookie with Strawberry Jelly Sorbet, Chocolate Chip Cookie with Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Snickerdoodle with Cinnamon Ice Cream and  Chocolate Chip Cookie with Chocolate Ice Cream where a hit as well as the make your own section featuring four types of cookies and five ice cream flavors.

*Welcome Bags greeted their loved ones as they checked into Hotel 1000 that weekend. Lucky guests received welcome bags complete with a Seattle map noting the couples favorite downtown spots, a box of jonboy caramels, two bottles of DRY Soda Co., Tim's Cascade Chips, a water bottle and a bag of lightly salted peanuts from CB's Nuts.
