Heather & Papp ~ June 8, 2013

Pink Blossom Events always loves a unique celebration so we were thrilled that Heather and Papp came to us to help design and plan their June 8, 2013 EM Fine Art wedding. For well over a year Heather and Papp were next door neighbors but had never spoken to each other until one day Heather decided to email Papp (she had his email address from a prior invitation to a neighborhood barbecue) when she needed help with a cable installation issue knowing he was on the Homeowners board. While no sparks flew at that time, several months afterwards, she thought about sending a funny, flirtatious message to Papp on a whim. Well to her luck, he sent a favorable response within seconds which led to their first date on March 13, 2012 and ultimately his marriage proposal on December 13, 2012. We were honored to be a part of their wedding day as Papp vowed to support not only Heather but also her two boys who clearly adored Papp. Carol Harrold Photography captured their big day!
Sticking to tradition, Heather and Papp chose not to see each other before the ceremony so while getting ready at EM Fine Art that day Pink Blossom Events made sure they each stuck to their respective quarters in the venue in order to not catch a glimpse of each other.
With final hair and makeup touches complete, Heather and Papp, along with their bridal party, were photographed in and around EM Fine Art
Heather's Bird of Paradise bouquet created by Fena Flowers added that stunning pop of color!
With photos complete and guests arriving, EM Fine Art was ready to host their celebration! The venue was decorated with candles, succulent arrangements and shades of purple and gray while the walls were adorned with colorful original artwork by the Bride as well as photograph's taken by the Groom's Uncle. A Jenga guestbook asked guests to use their creative side and leave some love for the couple. Chalkboard signs informed guests of the evenings festivities.
Heather was escorted by her two sons down the aisle.
A close friend who also happened to be a stand up comedian officiated their wedding and made sure to add a touch of humor on the day!
With the seal of kiss, Heather and Papp were officially wed!
After their I Do's the newlyweds signed their marriage license and retreated outside with their bridal party for photos together as guests enjoyed Frozen Peach Volini's (created by the couple) and tray passed appetizers included baked crab and artichoke melts, smoke salmon cucumber boats and heirloom tomato and mozzarella cheese skewers.
During cocktail hour Pink Blossom Events transformed the ceremony space for the reception. A variety of seating arrangements ranging from tall cocktail tables to various sized tables adorned in charcoal linens filled the space.
After a quick dress change, Heather and Papp were announced into the reception which kicked off the food stations by Seasoned in Seattle. A cascading fresh vegetable landscape and a fresh fruit and berry display filled one station while another featured pulled pork sliders, calypso chicken skewers and bacon wrapped chipotle pork tenderloin. A full taco bar rounded out the third station.
As friends and family mingled and enjoyed delicious bites, live acoustic music by the Groom's brother and cousin could be heard.
After toasts and cake cutting, a choreographed Gangham style dance by the Groom's family kicked off dancing.
Congratulations Heather & Papp!

Flawless. Totally flawless. As a clueless engaged couple, we received great advice that included, "hire the best wedding planner you can find." Luckily, we found and hired BreeAnn of Pink Blossom Events right on the spot...We knew we made a great decision, and as the months of planning went on, there were no hiccups and we had full confidence in her services. The tiniest of details that had to be decided on were handled beautifully and she very quickly grasped our unique nontraditional and modern style.

BreeAnn was amazing through the entire process and even rescued the bachelorette party and bridal shower when the matron of honor sadly proved to be incapable of her duties. The celebration was exactly what I'd hoped for and she was absolutely instrumental in stepping in and pulling it off without a hitch.

On our wedding day, everything was precisely as we'd hoped...only tenfold! The venue was stunningly beautiful and exactly tailored to our tastes. She worked seamlessly with all the vendors and had great advice throughout without being the slightest bit pushy or bossy. Bottom line: we highly recommend Pink Blossom Events without hesitation. ~ Heather

Ashley & Aaron ~ May 11, 2013

Ashley and Aaron both grew up in the halls of Charles Wright Academy but being one grade apart they never had the chance to meet until Aaron's senior year and Ashley's junior year when they were both cast in the One Act play together. At that time they got to know each other a little better but Aaron soon graduated and left for college in the Midwest. In the summer of 2009 after Ashley had graduated college and moved back to Seattle he decided it was time to give her a call. After she resisted multiple advances, Aaron finally asked Ashley on a date on his 23rd birthday when he knew she couldn't say no. He also popped the big question on her 26th birthday when she couldn't say no as well! The proposal happened while they were on a bike ride from Seattle to Red Hook Brewery, one of their favorite places in the Northwest. They had stopped for a picnic lunch at a park and just as they were finishing up, Aaron got down on one knee. Ashley had been wondering why he was wearing cargo shorts on a bike ride and as soon as he pulled out the ring box, she knew it was to hide the evidence! She immediately said yes and the rest if history!
On May 11, 2013 Aaron and Ashley got ready at The Edgewater Hotel along with their bridal party who couldn't have been more thrilled that this day was finally here! Kate Price Photography was along to capture their wedding day!
After a first look on The Edgewater's Terrace, Butler Transportation whisked them away to Volunteer Park for some photos in the park as the weather was absolutely perfect this spring day!
Arriving at Trinity Lutheran Church on Capital Hill, Ashley, Aaron and their Bridal Party took a few more photos before family photos ensued. The outside of the church was adorned with bows of ivy and lush ivory ribbon.
Boasting stunning stained glass windows and a magnificent floral arrangement by Blitz & Co Florist, Ashley and Aaron said their "I Do's" at Trinity Lutheran Church
After signing their marriage license, the newlyweds exited the church through a sea of rose petals tossed by their friends and family.
Following the ceremony guests were invited to The Edgewater Hotel for the reception.
Cocktails, appetizers, music by Affairs To Remember and a photo booth from Usnaps.com entertained guests during cocktail hour outside on the Terrace patio.
While guests were enjoying cocktail hour Ashley and Aaron, along with their bridal party, celebrated with a champagne toast out on the pier before joining cocktail hour.
The Olympic Ballroom was the stage for the rest of the evening. Tables draped in brown linens were topped with doily chargers, napkins wrapped in ribbon, lush floral arrangements by Blitz & Co Florist along with playing card favors in nod to one of the couples favorite pastimes.
With the announcement of Mr. & Mrs. Wham into dinner, guests feasted on Pan Seared Alaskan Salmon with Cream Sherry Crab Fondue, Garlic Brushed Beef Baseball Steak and Black Truffle Beggars Purses along with wine from Barons Winery which is owned by the Father of the Bride.
Toasts, cake cutting and dancing lasted late into the evening as loved ones celebrated Ashley and Aaron!
