Heathman Kirkland Open House

This past February Pink Blossom Events worked with The Heathman Kirkland to help plan and design their 2013 Wedding Open House! Take a look at the stunning images captured by Alante Photography from that evening! With summer over and lots of planning for 2014 weddings in gear, The Heathman Kirkland is a great venue for your rehearsal dinner, wedding, corporate event or even guest accommodations!   
On the main floor an intimate wine country inspired theme featured a long dinner table along with a ceremony for those smaller weddings in the Cascade Room and Library.
The Ballroom featured four different coordinating tablescapes along with a ceremony setup featuring color tones of gold, moss and olive designed by Pink Blossom Events and the participating vendors.

The Rainier Room took a spin on the hip side with an Ultra Lounge.
The Heathman Suite featured ideas for a Bridal Getting Ready room.

Cindy & Sam - September 8, 2012

Wow, where does time go? Just over a year ago Pink Blossom Events had the opportunity to be a part of Cindy and Sam's book inspired wedding that took place on September 8, 2012 at Herban Feast Catering and Sodo Park Event Venue. With much hype over the use of books we decided to hold off doing a recap of our own as we were honored to be featured on various media outlets such as, Huffington PostDoneBrilliantly.comBridal Guide and more! With that said we feel it's high time we feature one of our most unique weddings of last summer! 

When Cindy and Sam came to Pink Blossom Events to help design their wedding we were given the freedom to pull together their love of reading and all at the request that no real flowers be used! It was important that their wedding reflect all of the "geeky" things that brought them together including a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor and a few pop culture references. We couldn't have been more thrilled with how their wedding day turned out and we invite you to follow along as we tell the story of their big day using images taken by Rubin Weddings.
The morning started as everyone got ready at the Hyatt at Olive 8.
After Cindy and Sam's first look (Sam couldn't help but show off his boutonniere created by Lola Floral & Design) Cindy, Sam and their bridal party made their way to Sodo Park.
With pre-ceremony photos complete and the space transformed into a book lover's delight, guests arrived in anticipation of the celebrations soon to take place!  
A book arch flanked by large paper pinwheels was the focal point of the ceremony along with an aisle adorned with books and bud vases filled with paper flowers and cut crinkle paper put together by Pink Blossom Events and Heathoriginal.  With the signal of a trumpet Sam and the officiant walked in to start their ceremony. As Cindy made her way down the aisle, a mashup of the Bridal Chorus and the Star Wars Imperial March could be heard. The couple exchanged vows under the arch and one of their favorite parts was when they asked their friends and family to recite a pledge of support which went something like this: 

"We as the friends and family of Cindy and Sam
Promise this day to recognize their union 
To honor and support them and to love them always as they join today in the bonds of marriage.
So Say We All!"
After the ceremony, guests celebrated with a cocktail hour featuring the groom’s home-brewed beer (honey wheat, jalapeno pale and double-hop dark ipa) and music by 2 Buck Chuck!
Cocktail tables featuring navy shantung linens from Pedersen's and an apple dupioni sash from Creative Coverings were topped with silver aluminum votive holders and a single bud vase to add the finishing touch. 
With the call of dinner, guests grabbed jars filled with blueberry candies which doubled as both favors and escort cards that noted the guests seating assignments.
Seated at tables covered in a green dupioni linen from Creative Coverings guests admired the centerpieces which featured vintage books collected by Cindy and Sam throughout their adventures together and at local book sales along with bud vases filled with cut crinkle paper and paper flowers.
After a family style feast catered by Herban Feast Catering, it was time to cut the “Dr. Who” inspired cake designed by The SweetSide and hit the dance floor as 2 Buck Chuck played hit after hit!
As the dancing got started, a photo booth by 321 Foto and NitroCream Ice Cream became the spotlight of the event. With flavors of Peach Mango Sorbet, key lime, dark chocolate with caramel and pistachio made in front of guests eyes,  I must say, I've never seen people so eager for ice cream as that night!
As the night ended, late night sliders and fries came out ensuring that no one left hungry! For one final hurrah Cindy & Sam exited the reception amid sparklers held by their friends and family who had just been part of one epic celebration!

Seahawks Dinner Party - May 2013

In celebration of tonight's Seahawks Home Opener against the San Francisco 49ers we highlight this Seahawks themed dinner party Pink Blossom Events designed this past May for a clients dinner party. Working with Lola Event Floral & Design, decor highlights included a centerpiece of cut footballs holding wheat grass on the main dining table and an acrylic football appetizer display! The four course dinner that night was catered by One Eighty Foundation! Thank you to Hope Spring Photography by Dasha Wright and Robert Jacobs for photographing the setup.
Leather beer koozies and turf wine markers added to the celebration!
Appetizers flanked this acrylic football centerpiece created by Lola Event Floral & Design which was inspired by Pink Blossom Events vision for the evening.
Royal blue pintuck linens with avocado shantung napkins from ABC Special Event Rentals by Cort were inspired by the Seahawks team colors. After dreaming up a centerpiece of cut footballs and wheat grass, Lola Event Floral & Design took that idea ran with it for the dining table centerpiece.
