Melissa & Daniel ~ August 17, 2012

It was a beautiful August day in Snohomish and Craven Farms was in full bloom as Melissa and Daniel married on August 17, 2012. Heidi Michelle Photography captured the final getting ready details and evening celebration which was full of beauty.
With final getting ready preparations complete, Melissa's bridesmaids followed her out of the bridal room at Craven Farms as she was about to have see Daniel for the first time that day.You could tell they were in true bliss once they finally got the chance to see each other before photos with their bridal party and families.
 
One of the red barns at Craven Farms stood as the backdrop for photos. Below Melissa takes a turn with photos of the Daniel and his groomsmen. Melissa's five brother's also jump in for a photo opportunity (top photo, bottom row, boys in gray).
As guests arrived Melissa and her flower girls did a little coloring to wipe away any pre-wedding jitters.
After parking at Craven Farms guests walked past an “Our Love Story” chalkboard informing guests of a few key dates throughout the couple’s relationship. A small wooden antique wagon from Craven Farms was used in place of the traditional gift table. A birdcage sitting next to the wagon was used for cards. Guest were then led underneath an arbor that had been covered with hanging mason jars, twinkle lights and a burlap “Happily Ever After” sign leading to the ceremony lawn.
When the clock struck seven o'clock, the processional began! Family members, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flowers girls, ring bearers and Melissa's brothers all made their way down the aisle which had been decorated with scattered rose petals and baby’s breath arrangements tied to the aisle chairs with burlap.
 
Melissa and Daniel said their I Do's underneath a corkscrew willow arbor created by Vintage Lilli. Surrounding the willow arbor, rustic wooden pillars from Craven Farms were topped with potted plants. Hanging lanterns held pillar candles for the candle lighting ceremony involving Melissa, Daniel and their moms.
 
 
While guests enjoyed appetizers and beverages, Melissa and Daniel signed their marriage license. The Best Man found a few props from the nearby outdoor photo booth to sign his name. Beverages for the evening included assorted sodas, a trio of beverage jars with fruit infused waters (orange+lime, watermelon+mint, strawberry+basil) and a root beer float station served with dessert later that evening.
In addition to appetizers and beverages, guests signed a custom made fingerprint guest book tree using ink pads in various colors and played yard games on the lawn and table games on cocktail tables scattered around the outdoor patio area near the reception barn.
 
With the sun setting, Melissa and Daniel took a few more pictures beneath the glow of the late evening sun.
As the newlyweds stole a few kisses during pictures, guests filled tables both inside the reception barn and outdoors on the adjacent lawn. Tables were decorated with centerpieces featuring bunched burlap overlays, stacked books, antique miniature bottles, mason jars with floral and candles. Inside the barn, the Heritage Wall displayed family photos hung with twine and clothes pins and a burlap scripture sign.
 
With the opening of the barn doors, Melissa and Daniel were announced into the reception. The Father of the Bride welcomed guests and toasted to the newlyweds. The cutting of the cake opened up a dessert buffet provided by The Cakewalk Shop & Twelve Baskets Catering.
With plates full of dessert toasts continued.
Following toasts and the bouquet and garter toss, family and friends were escorted outside underneath the stars for a slideshow and lantern lighting which was truly magical!
The festivities ended as guests blew straw wrappers at the bride and groom as they exited to their town car and drove off to the Tulalip Resort for their wedding night. Congratulations Melissa & Daniel!

Kristen & Ryan ~ December 15, 2012

As the holiday season was in full gear, Pink Blossom Events had the joy of being a part of Kristen and Ryan's December wedding at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Throughout the planning process leading up to the wedding and on the day of, we were in awe of how incredibly thoughtful the couple was in making sure all of their guests and vendors knew how much they had appreciated everyone who was in attendance that evening! Here are a few of our favorite highlights from their wedding day captured that winter day by Dana Pleasant Photography.
After their first look Kristen and Ryan were photographed around Lynnwood Convention Center.
As guests arrived for the ceremony they walked past a sign reminding them that "Today two families are becoming one. We ask that you choose a seat, not a side" then were seated at chairs that had been covered with white chair covers and blue sashes.
With the pronouncement of husband and wife, Kristen and Ryan were cheered on by family and friends as they recessed down the aisle! Following the ceremony guests enjoyed the sounds of Susan Haas on harp, cocktails and appetizers surrounding the incredible ice sculpture by Amazing Ice. In between well wishes to the newlyweds guests signed quilt squares that would later be sewn into a quilt with the help of Kristen's aunt and recorded messages to the couple using a video camera setup by Kristen's father.
Finding their names on an escort board loved ones were guided to tables featuring movie table numbers. To go with the theme of the winter season, tables were decorated with blue, silver and white snowflakes and a homemade snowflake cookie adorned each place setting for guests to enjoy later that weekend. After a plated dinner that offered the choice of Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Naan (the couples favorite), Peppered Flat Iron Steak or a Vegetable Pot Pie toasts from their closest friends and fathers were given. 
In between toasts and first dances, Kristen and Ryan cut into the most stunning snowflake wedding cake by Creme de la Creme.

Carly & Mike ~ October 19, 2012

Lush yellow and white floral with hints of silver filled Hollywood Schoolhouse this past October as Carly and Mike tied the knot. It was a gorgeous affair dreamed up by Carly, Mike and the bride's Mother, Laurel Mitchell, who also happens to be the owner of Laurel's Floral Decor! Pink Blossom Events was honored to be a part of their wedding day photographed by Loren and Kim of Alante Photography.
After spending the morning getting ready offisite, Carly and Mike, along with their bridal party, arrived at Hollywood Schoolhouse for final preparations and photos!
Guests arrived for the evening ceremony and were treated to a pre-ceremony snack of Madeline Cookies.
After signing the wine bottle guest book they were escorted to their seats for the ceremony. 
We love the images Alante Photography captured of both Carly and her mom and Carly and her dad before he walked her down the aisle.
With a seal of a kiss, family and friends rang little bells that had been placed on their seats congratulating the newlyweds!
While guests headed upstairs for cocktail hour, Carly and Mike signed their marriage license before joining cocktail hour.
With the dinner hour announced, loved ones headed back downstairs to the ballroom that had been flipped for the rest of the evening. After finding their tables via yellow jeweled escort cards, guests sat around tables that were adorned by silver overlays from A Tailored Affair and lush yellow and white floral arrangements.
Toasts and cake cutting led way to first dances! We had a good laugh at the Cake Wager game guests played during cocktail hour to see who ended up with cake in the face. Luckily for Carly, guests made sure Mike's vase was filled with all the jewels! 
Just in time for the bouquet and garter toss Carly changed into a stunning sequined dress!
Lining the walkway outside Hollywood Schoolhouse, guests lit sparklers and cheered for the Bride & Groom as they made their way out of the reception and off to Seattle for a night's stay at the Washington Athletic Club.
 
Congratulations Mike & Carly! Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day!

St. Patrick's Day Bunco!

Around each major holiday, a group of local wedding and event industry professionals (aka: "Holiday Bunco Club") get together to play Bunco. It is an evening of never ending laughter and dice rolling started up by the masterminds behind Pink Blossom Events and heathoriginal! After a year and a half of playing Bunco we decided it was time to photograph (thanks Alante Photography!) one of our game nights to give you a few inspirational ideas on hosting your own Bunco game! 

First things first means that no Bunco night is complete without a fancy schmancy score card. Luckily for our group, Heather, owner of heathoriginal is on hand to create each month's score cards.
Being the host I worked on the details and collaborated with 
heathoriginal to ensure the party decor fit the theme!
 
Taking inspiration from the Irish theme I created two different centerpieces to be placed at each of the three game tables. Shamrocks sprouted out of gold containers for one centerpiece while a Lucky Charms filled glass vase topped with shamrocks rocked another table. In addition to the centerpieces, tables featured crushed gold linens from Platinum Designs, a few snacks for game play munching, paper shamrocks and mini pots of gold filled with green crinkle paper and gold kisses I pulled together. 
 
Guests were invited to take home the pots of gold created by Pink Blossom Events as well as the favors filled with a rainbow of M&M created by heathoriginal.
 
  The Food
At each Bunco night guests are asked to bring $5 for the pot, an appetizer and a beverage to share! The host, in this case myself is asked to make the main dish. For March's St. Patrick's Day theme I figured a Spud Bar was the perfect fit! Yum!
 
Beverages
At every good Irish party beer is on tap! heathoriginal provided the Lucky Irish beers and drink stirrers while I provided the Irish themed wine from local winery, Ryan Patrick Vineyards!
 
  Sweet Treats!
Carla of Honey Crumb Cake Studio provided some delicious bite sized desserts including green whoopie pies and mini pies.
