Chelsey & Jody ~ December 1, 2012

Chelsey and Jody's story of how they met reminds you that you never know where you might find your true love! Chelsey was having dinner with her dad one night at a restaurant in Tacoma when the owner, who was a friend of Chelsey's dad's, asked her if she had a boyfriend. Chelsey informed her that she was single at the time and she said she had the perfect guy for her even though Chelsey had only just met her. The owner of the restaurant was friends with Jody's mom and called her up and asked that Jody come immediately over to the restaurant that night. At the time Jody was thirty minutes from the restaurant heading in the opposite direction when he decided to turn around and go to the restaurant. That night Chelsey and Jody met and exchanged numbers. Three days later, Jody drove an hour and a half to Seattle for their first official date and from then on, they were inseparable
 
With glasses full, Chelsey and her bridesmaids toasted to the start of Chelsey and Jody's wedding day as they got ready the morning of December 1, 2012 at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel SeattleGabriel Van Whye Photography captured their December wedding which was fitting that they married in December as Jody had proposed to her that last Christmas 2011 at a family Christmas party!
Family members and their bridal party lined the halls of The Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle as Chelsey and Jody shared their first look.
With their first look behind them, Chelsey, Jody and their bridal party were driven to Pier 57 by Butler Seattle for a few photos before making their way to Sodo Park for photos indoors.
When guests arrived that December evening, Butler Valet was on hand to park their cars and invite them inside the venue that had been decorated in the ivory, black and the warmth of candlelight. Guests gave their coats to Sodo Park's coat check before signing the guestbook frame and finding their seats for the ceremony.   
A romantic winter wedding was underway as Tom Maeda played the piano and guests sat inside lush ivory draping that surrounded the ceremony seating area. Modern block candelabras from Rented Elegance were covered in ivory ribbon by Blitz & Co Florist while the front of the ceremony featured Rented Elegance's custom book shelves filled with candles. 
After tying the knot, Chelsey and Jody signed their marriage license upstairs in the Bridal Loft while guests sipped on signature cocktails, wine from the Father of the Bride's winery, Barons Winery, and nibbled on sweet potato and dungeness crab cakes, bacon wrapped figs and a savory fall tartlet! 
After the room had been flipped for dinner, friends and family took their seats amongst tables that were covered in black pintuck linens, lush white floral by Blitz & Co Florist and place settings that featured silver chargers and custom snowflake cookies by The Cookie Fairy.
After introductions by the Craig Lawrence Band, Chelsey and Jody were welcomed into dinner! With the newlyweds arrival, organic green, pear and apple salads were plated and wine was refreshed! Once the salad plates were cleared, buffets opened and guests filled their plates with herb crusted tender beef loin finished with a port demi glace; pan seared halibut with herban chimichurri; herb roasted winter vegetables drizzled with smoked sweet paprika oil; savory herbed fregola (a mix of market vegetables, toasted couscous and goat cheese) and thyme scented tricolor potato gratin.
It may have been a cold December evening that night but the warmth of love continued to fill the air in the room that night as toasts, cake cutting and first dances kicked off an evening of dancing and merriment! 
A highlight of the evening for guests was the photo booth by Van Whye Photography.
With the stroke of midnight, guests slowly excited Sodo Park and went home full of memories from an evening well celebrated! Congratulations Chelsey & Jody!

"The Barn" ~ October 3, 2012

The key to a good party is delicious food and fabulous entertainment! This past October, Eberle Vivian had all the right pieces to a great Open House! After moving into their new office building earlier last year it was time to open the doors and showcase their new space! 
With fall in mind and an office building fit for the theme, Pink Blossom Events brought in straw bales, pumpkins, and fall leaves along with fall inspired floral by Fena Flowers
Inside, an interactive risotto bar, passed appetizers and a bar by Foodz Catering along with an amazing dessert bar by The SweetSide gave guests plenty to nibble on.  
Outside, kettle corn was popped by The Organic Kettle Corn Co. and a Master Pumpkin Sculptor carved pumpkins that evening as guests mingled about the new office building!
With custom mugs and a bag of freshly popped Kettle Corn guests headed home after a great evening at "The Barn."

Brendan & Val ~ July 20 & 21, 2012

Pulling together their love of video games (checkout this proposal game Brendan created for Val) and a wish to keep their wedding simple yet uniquely them, Pink Blossom Events worked with Val and Brendan to bring their Video Game Wedding Weekend to life this July! Taking place over two days at El Gaucho Bellevue and Redhook Brewery, we enjoyed seeing their guests laugh, compete and take part in the game themed weekend! Kayla J Photography's images tell the story of their wedding weekend.

July 20, 2012 ~ El Gaucho Ceremony & Luncheon

To kickoff the wedding weekend, Brendan and Val hosted an intimate ceremony and luncheon at El Gaucho in Bellevue for close friends and family. The early morning wedding started with pre-wedding nibbles as guests arrived (think mini-muffins, danishes, fruit, tea and coffee) and followed with brunch surrounded by close family and friends! It was a wonderful celebration for twenty five of their most dearest!  Details included various Mario themed table numbers, place cards and a wedding cake representing their love of video games! 
Val and Brendan got ready at the Hyatt House Redmond that morning and captured their first look pictures on the surrounding grounds. 
Heading to El Gaucho Bellevue, family photos and the ceremony were moved indoors as the misty rain fell. 
After a delicious brunch, Brendan and Val cut into their Mario themed wedding cake by Corina Bakery for all to enjoy!
With the rest of the day still ahead of them guests were invited to explore the local area whether it was enjoying an afternoon Argosy Cruise on Lake Washington or sipping wine at Kirkland's Uncork Wine Festival.

July 21, 2012 ~ Redhook Brewery Reception
Day two of Val and Brendan's wedding celebrations took place the next evening at Redhook Brewery as the newlyweds hosted a reception for their friends complete with a second ceremony. The reception included a puzzle competition, pub trivia and a Zelda themed cake! 
When guests arrived they were asked to find their seats noted on the Mario inspired place cards. Pink Blossom Events worked with Fena Flowers to design the centerpieces featuring a flat glass top that would act as platforms for the games. Favor boxes at each place setting were filled with Mario themed favors (see photo above). 
With guests seated, Val and Brendan weaved their way through the tables and said their I Do's one more time! 
With a seal of a kiss, the games began! A jigsaw puzzle heated up the competition before guests dined on a BBQ dinner. With stomachs full, friends and family competed in a trivia contest complete with hand buzzers and all created by the groom. Winning teams took home Theo Chocolate and Ste. Michelle Wine. 
Hitting the dance floor Brendan and Val took their first dance then cut their Zelda themed wedding cake.
Dancing, board games, and a photo booth (built by the groom!) complete with Mario themed props kept guests entertained the rest of the night. And not to miss, the surprise Mario pinata filled with gold coins that was brought out by two friends!
Congratulations Val & Brendan! Thank you for letting Pink Blossom Events be a part of your game themed wedding weekend! We had a ball!

Nicole & Spencer ~ September 8, 2012


       After months spent planning their wedding day from afar while living on the east coast, Nicole and Spencer were excited to arrive in the Emerald City this early September to marry and celebrate with friends and family! Nicole and her bridal party got ready in the Rainier Suite at Westin Hotel's South Tower as Salon Maison was there for onsite hair and makeup. Even the family dog joined in the fun that morning as Cory Parris Photography captured their wedding day! 
      
       It was a beautiful September day for outdoor bridal party shots and Nicole and Spencer's first look photos outside of the Westin as they made their way to the venue, Palace Ballroom, a few blocks down the street.
Floral was provided by family friend and florist, Finishing Touch Florist &Gifts based in Bellevue.
      After their first look and bridal party pictures, Nicole & Spencer stole a few minutes away for some quiet one on one time at the Seattle waterfront! A gorgeous day, for a wonderful couple!
      Guests arrived for the ceremony and reception at the Palace Ballroom which was inspired by Nicole and Spencer's love of wine. To keep add a touch of a vineyard theme a wooden card box was lined with corks that would soon be filled with cards of well wishes! A wooden sign was nearby that doubled both as a guestbook and keepsake for Nicole and Spencer to display in their home.
       Black lanterns with glowing candlelight lined the ceremony aisle as well as adorned reception tables giving the space an elegant and intimate feel. Mercury votives were scattered throughout the venue as well ensuring that candlelight could be seen from every direction. Nicole entered the ceremony with her father by her side and the tune of “Without You” by Eddie Vedder playing. The ceremony, officiated by Elaine Way, included personal readings from three close friends. With the seal of a kiss and a walk down the aisle, Nicole and Spencer were followed by their Bridal Party who recessed to Ben Harper's “Steal My Kisses."
       After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, tray-passed hors d’oeuvres featuring albacore tuna crudo, Steven’s perfect dungeness crab cakes, rosemary cured beef on grilled bread and shiitake chopsticks with sweet chili as they watched a personalized slideshow during of Nicole and Spencer during cocktail hour. Transitioning from cocktail hour to dinner, guests moved to tables featuring bright floral trios mixed with dahlias, baby’s breath, succulents and greenery; black lanterns with pillar candles and mercury votives scattered throughout. Bridgewater Chocolates were placed at each place setting for guests to enjoy now or on their drive home. The Chocolates were from Spencer’s home-state of Connecticut.
The talented team at Tom Douglas Catering provided and incredible dinner starting with a chop chop salad and a family-style meal with apple wood grilled NY strip loin, Etta’s rub with love wild salmon, chanterelle risotto, garlic braised rabe and Prosser farms squash. Bon Appetite! 
Adorable “love” letter cake toppers sat atop the wedding cake created by Baked located in West Seattle. Flavors featured a  lavender & champagne tiered wedding cake along with a chocolate salted caramel sheet cake. Delicious!
With the cake cut, Nicole & Spencer took their first dance as husband & wife to the sounds of  Keith Urban’s “Got It Right This Time.”
The Nines kept the music flowing, the dance floor full and the party rockin’ until late in the night. In between songs, guests nibbled on late-night snack stations featuring grilled Beecher’s Flagship Cheddar and basil sandwiches with heirloom tomato, savory waffle s'mores with bacon and Tom Douglas's famous hand-cut french fries with dipping sauces. Tom Douglas Catering and their team wowed the guests that evening with their flawless service and incredible food throughout the entire day! And not to miss, Usnaps.com photo booth kept the crowd entertained during cocktail and late into the night with self-taken photo booth fun along with goofy props making for great memories!
