Krista & Jacob ~ October 7, 2012

On a beautiful Sunday morning this past October, Krista and her bridesmaids got ready in a private rental home (Homestead Houseon Orcas Island as they tried to contain their excitement since later that day Krista and her fiance Jacob would become husband and wife. We can't help but gloat about what an amazing job Benjamin Edwards Photography did capturing their wedding day and invite you to take a peak!
Sticking to tradition, Krista and Jacob chose not to see each other before the ceremony but it was definitely a challenge for us to keep them out of sight of each other on the grounds of their ceremony location, Victorian Valley Chapel, as they were both so excited to see each other. While Krista was hidden in a small clearing surrounded by trees, Jacob and his guys wondered the church and surrounding field before they were back near the church to greet guests and usher them inside.
Krista was surrounded by her sister (Matron of Honor) and her life-long best friend (Maid of Honor) along with her twin Junior Bridesmaids who were so sweet and full of such joy!.
With the October weather still in her full glory, guests arrived at the church for the four o'clock ceremony. A vintage mail holder held antique inspired programs for guests to grab along with a small wooden box that held vintage handkerchiefs for guests to wipe their tears of joy. Glass cylinders filled with pillar candles in varying heights lined the aisle as local guitarist Gene Nery played classics like Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
With the notes of "Wonderful Wold" being strung, the processional began with family members, Jacob and his groomsmen and then transitioned into "For Love of a Princess" from Braveheart as the Bridesmaids, JR Bridesmaids (holding a burlap “here comes the bride” sign) and Ring Bearer (holding a burlap pillow) made their entrance.
Krista entered to “Storybook Love” from the movie a Princess Bride.
A ceremony filled with heartfelt written vows by the couple solidified that they were now one. After they sealed their marriage with a kiss, “When I’m 64” by the Beatles played as they walk down the aisle and rang the church bell.
As guests headed to the reception site, family photos were taken followed by photos of the Newlyweds!
Benjamin Edwards Photography captured some amazing shots both inside and outside the Victorian Valley Chapel along with a few stunning shots by an old barn nearby.
The reception took place at Oddfellows Hall in Eastsound, Orcas Island. Driftwood signs pointed guests inside the hall which had been filled with romantic garden inspired floral, birdcages, and candles by The Nest to give it an elegant yet simple feel of vintage beauty. Burlap and lace could be seen throughout as well. In place of a traditional guest book, a wooden “L” representing their new last name together was placed on the table for guests to sign.
Guests enjoyed the views of the sound and soaked up the last rays of the day during cocktail hour. Cocktails and tray passed hors d’oeuvres (warm goat cheese in phyllo, baked apple & brie in pastry cups, crab cakes, twice baked red potatoes with bacon) were enjoyed as Krista and Jacob made their way to the reception.
With dinner soon being served, guests made their way inside the hall. Details included mismatched vintage china that the couple had collected for each guests place settings; centerpieces featuring low cascading floral arrangements in silver vases surrounded by silver candlesticks topped with long taper candles in varying sizes along with birdcages and custom wood table numbers.
A sweetheart table for the bride and groom featured burlap Mr & Mrs signs, as well horseshoe Bride & Groom toasting flutes.
Old fashioned wedding chapel cookie cutters inspired by their ceremony location, Victorian Valley Chapel, were given as favors for families to take home that evening. Burlap pillows lined wooden benches inside the hall for a comfortable resting place throughout the evening.
The Newlyweds entered the reception to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars and were seated for a plated dinner featuring a starter of crab bisque and rustic breads, followed by a beef tenderloin or chicken breast entrĂ©e and chocolate dipped strawberries to accompany the Champagne toast.
A gorgeous cake made by local artist, Sugarbaby, stood on soft pink pedestal stand topped by vintage love birds. Accompanying the cake were dessert plates complete with specialty engraved cake knife server and Mr. & Mrs. forks.
Guests enjoyed the special first dances followed by hours of dancing. Fresh mini cinnamon and powdered sugar donuts were brought out as a late-night snack to end a celebration to remember! As the night ended, Krista and Jacob were sent-off by family and friends with a glittering sparkler departure!
Truly an inspirational wedding full of love and stunning details! Congratulations Krista and Jacob! Pink Blossom Events was honored to be a part of your wedding day!

Emily & Trevor ~ August 25, 2012

Coordinating event logistics for three event spaces starting with a ceremony under the Woodmark's waterfront tent to a cocktail hour aboard the Argosy Cruises' Celebration and then back to the Woodmark for a reception inside the Marina Room, Pink Blossom Events was privileged to be a part of Emily and Trevor's August 25, 2012 wedding at the Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa. With only three hours to setup all of these locations, Pink Blossom Events helped pull off a wedding to remember along with a team full of talented wedding and event vendors! Follow along as the story unfolds from pictures taken by Azzura Photography. For a quick preview click here for a highlight video from Lorbaniah Cameagraphy.
As Trevor waited outside for his first glimpse of his Bride, Emily, she was getting finishing touches on hair and makeup in The Woodmark Suite. We must admit it would be hard leaving that room with it's amazing amenities and stunning view!

Along with photos with their family and bridal party they couldn't miss a photo opportunity with their adorable dog Lexi as she too is a part of their family.
With a color palette of white, black, fuchsia and bright purple, Pink Blossom Events worked with Laurel's Floral Decor to transform the event space. White chivari chairs filled the tent that incorporated a black aisle runner adorned with white rose petals and lined with tall hurricane vases topped with lush floral arrangements of white, purple and fuchsia.
Under the arch of cascading white orchids and bright pinks and purple flowers, a table was placed for the sand ceremony.
Before taking their seats, guests were asked to take a ribbon wand to cheer on the newlyweds when they were one! Pink Blossom Events set out streamers on the reserved seats which were saved for family members and close friends.

Following the ceremony, guests were led to the Carillon Point docks for a cocktail cruise on Lake Washington complete with a caricature artist and appetizers by The Woodmark.

While guests were enjoying the summer sun aboard Argosy Cruises' Celebration ship, Pink Blossom Events and Laurel's Floral Decor were busy re-purposing the ceremony floral arrangements. To ensure nothing went unused, ceremony aisle pieces were used as reception centerpieces, the arch was transformed into a photo backdrop allowing each guest to be photographed under the arch as they made their way into the reception and our favorite part was the "black carpet" entrance into the Marina Room which we re-purposed from their aisle runner and tent pole swag arrangements!

The patio outside the Marina Room (pictured above) was decorated with floral arrangements that earlier had filled the cruise ship. Making their way into the Marina Room guests found their names on the seating chart by Paper Fling, grabbed a cocktail and signed the guest book (if they missed it prior to the ceremony) before being seated for dinner.
Dining tables were covered in white linens with black overlays that were ornamented with gorgeous floral arrangements, scattered orchids and diamonds. Wine stoppers featuring pictures of the newlyweds were placed at each place setting as a favor to take home that evening.
Emily and Trevor enjoyed dinner, a slideshow and toasts at their sweetheart table that overlooked the room filled with loved ones who had traveled to be a part of their special day.
With the cutting of the cake, dancing and a photobooth entertained the guests the rest of the evening along with a gorgeous sunset overlooking Lake Washington.

Congratulations Emily & Trevor! What an evening that was!

Shane & Jane - August 19, 2012

On Sunday, August 19th Shane and Jane celebrated their love in front of friends and family members at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish. Blue Wing Photos was on hand to capture all of the love, laughter and wedding details!

After watching Shane and Jane say their "I Do's" guests enjoyed a cocktail hour filled with savory bites such as British tea sandwiches representing the Father of the Bride's heritage, a photobooth and a custom Trail Mix Bar by Pink Blossom Events.

When the barn doors opened, the wedding celebration headed inside for dinner, toasts, cake cutting and dancing. Tables were decorated in bright lapis and canary colors while the kids table was covered in toys to keep the little ones busy all evening. Favors of local honey and pistachios dotted each place setting.

Along with the wedding cake by The Cake Walk Shop, Cabbage Patch Catering served tartlets with devonshire cream.
As the sun set below the horizon, Shane and Jane were whisked off by Rare Form Limo as guests waved ribbon wands!
Congratulations Shane and Jane!

Hiring Pink Blossom Events was the most intelligent decisions I made when planning my daughter's wedding. BreeAnn is very organized and efficient, as well as being one of the nicest people I have met. She knows where to find anything you need, and always has a helpful suggestion to give. She is great at calming panic, too. On the day of the event, she was one of the first people there and the last one to leave. Because of Pink Blossom, I was able to concentrate on my family and not worry about all the little details that always crop up. Thanks BreeAnn.
