Jessica & Alvin ~ June 30, 2012

June 30, 2012 hosted a wonderful night of memories and tradition for this fun loving and relaxed couple! Pink Blossom Events loved working with Jessica and Alvin pulling together their wedding details. Many thanks to Ken and his team at Azzura Photography for capturing all these special moments!
Their wedding day began at the spacious Chateau Valentina in Bothell, where the bride and her ladies spent a relaxing morning enjoying each others company over breakfast, hair and makeup! Thank you to Salon Maison for providing on-site hair & make-up services and making sure Jessica and her party were ready for the big day.
In true Seattle fashion, the rain made an appearance throughout the day, which supplied some great opportunities for photo fun with umbrellas! Jessica and Alvin’s first glance and bridal party pictures were taken at the Locks in Ballard, conveniently located next door to their wedding venue, The Canal. With the Locks lush gardens, it made for a stunning photo backdrop!
Royal blue along with highlights of yellow and white made a perfect palette to let their love sparkle! With a few rain drops from the clouds above, plan B was flawlessly executed with the help of the talented team at The Canal. Their intimate ceremony was held indoors, overlooking the water. With a dear friend marrying them, their ceremony was touching and personal. Ring Around the Rose provided stunning arrangements featuring calla lilies, hydrangeas, roses, freesia and sparkling crystals.
To honor Alvin’s family heritage, a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony following their American wedding – Jessica was simply stunning in both of her dresses! After the Tea Ceremony, cocktail hour brought mingling and scrumptious hors d’oeuvres provided by Jewel Hospitality featuring prawn and mango skewers, Caribbean crab cakes, coconut curry satays, lamb pillows, seared ahi tuna and spicy lamb meatballs – a great way to start the festivities! A blueberry martini helped highlight their royal blue theme and was enjoyed by many.
Guests found their seats from the custom made gold fortune cookie escort "cards" made by the bride herself. Dinner featured a Northwest menu of king salmon and beef tenderloin.
A sparkling white linen covered the cake table which featured a classic and elegant creation by Celebrity Cake Studio. Jessica and Alvin continued to treat their guests throughout the night with take-out boxes of candy, “a lucky pair” of bamboo shoots and fortune cookies at each table assigning a lucky guest to take home one of the lush centerpieces.
The night ended with dancing (and great music selections by DJ Lance of Music Plus!) a sparkling send-off and a ride in style thanks to British Motor CoachCongratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hong! It was truly a pleasure and we were so honored to be a part of this special day! All the best in the years to come!

Dorothea's Bridal Shower ~ July 7, 2012!

With a breathtaking view out over Elliott Bay with the city and Olympic Mountains as a backdrop, Dorothea's girlfriends toasted the bride to be with a Bridal Brunch in Palisade Restaurant's Magnolia Room coordinated by Pink Blossom Events. Invites by Paper Fling set the butterfly theme while bright pops of color and polka dots from the recipe card (included in the invite) completed the whimsical garden look! Pink Blossom Events coordinated and designed the affair incorporating floral by Fena Flowers and paper goods crafted by heathoriginal. Photos by La Luz Photography.
Invites included the following request as not only was the couple planning for a wedding but they were also celebrating a new baby:
Dorothea and Stand Are Soon to Be One,
Let’s Make Sure They Are Set for a Night
For Their Family of Three or a Night Out for Two!
Please Write Your Favorite Recipe On The Enclosed Card
And Bring A Gift For a Night on The Town!
A recipe card box was placed at the entrance asking each guest to drop in their completed recipe card as they walked in.
Bud vases by Fena Flowers dotted the tablescape which were adorned by paper flower details by Heathoriginal. Guest dined on a brunch buffet complete with a make your own bloody mary and mimosa bar, eggs benedict, sourdough banana macadamia pancakes, seasonal fruit, scalloped yukon gold potatoes, apple sausage and a dessert bar to end the day! To keep guests entertained throughout the morning brunch, mad libs were placed at each place setting asking guests to fill in the missing words which would create Dorothea and Stan upcoming vows.
BreeAnn, It was a beautiful shower and I really enjoyed working with you - you made it so easy. I will be happy to be a referral.  Palisades was lovely - nobody had been there... and all said they'd be going back! Thank you! ~ Jenny Cordina - Maid of Honor

Sheryl & Robin - June 2, 2012

When I first met with Robin and Sheryl I knew their wedding was going to be something to remember and that is exactly what happened this past June at Alderbrook Resort and Spa. The Hood Canal was a special location for both Robin and Sheryl growing up so choosing a location was easy and they knew their families would agree that this local destination was worth the drive. With a vision of blush pink and a mix of nautical the happy couple turned to Pink Blossom Events to pull together their dream celebration! Photos by Stephanie Cristalli Photography spell out a day full of love, detail and memories to last a lifetime!

As rain fell throughout the area, a pocket of sunshine fell upon Alderbrook Resort & Spa that day ensuring their outdoor pre-ceremony cocktail hour and ceremony could continue! Phew!
A team of Etsy vendors (see list below) pulled together the adorable kids attire!
Guests arrived on the Alderbrook property and were treated to a pre-ceremony cocktail hour along the water's edge! A wishing stone guest book asked guest to help fill their garden with wishing stones by leaving messages of wit, wisdom and well wishes.
Artist Sam Day was hired as part of the pre-wedding cocktail hour and ceremony as a way to not only entertain guests but give the newlyweds a gift they would treasure forever and could display in their home.

To stick with the nautical theme (just a touch, but not too much!) a refurbished crab pot was used as a card basket and starfish were adorned on the aisle pieces which were later transferred to reception tables in the ballroom.
As guests heading inside the ballroom, Robin and Sheryl enjoy a walk on the beach before continuing the days festivities!
Blush pink floral arrangements (transferred from the ceremony site) by Fena Flowers were placed upon tables covered in white linens, blush pink runners, brown napkins dotted with starfish and finished off with white chair covers and sashes by Platinum Designs. Place settings were decorated by s'more favors, a must have addition to any beach party! Favor tags created by Valerie's Invites reading "Have Smore Fun!" and homemade graham crackers and marshmallows by Tallant House made for some lucky wedding guests that weekend!
One must not miss the dessert! To add a touch of nautical, the four tiered cupcake stand built by Prop Gallery (ribbon by Pink Blossom Events) held cupcakes that were wrapped with pink and white nautical stripped cupcake wrappers from Bella Cupcake Couture and adorned with mini starfish assembled by Pink Blossom Events. The top of the display featured a cutting cake which by the brides request was decorate with lots of frosting! The cutting cake was vanilla with vanilla butter cream and raspberry curd filling. Cupcakes were a range of vanilla, red velvet and chocolate all with vanilla butter cream frosting, all created in house by Alderbook Resort & Spa.
After being announced into dinner, the newlyweds led their guests to a Seaside Beach Broil Buffet complete with clams, corn on the cob, steamed new potatoes and dungeness crab!
To kick off toasts, the happy couple read their completed Mad Lib which guests filled in during the pre-ceremony cocktail hour. The Mad Lib told a story of how they met.
As guests enjoyed vanilla, red velvet and chocolate cupcakes, Bugsie Productions filled the dance floor!
Congratulations Sheryl and Robin! We were honored to be a part of your special day!
