Hollywood Hill Wedding! - September 24, 2011

Pops of bright yellow, orange and burgundy filled Hollywood Schoolhouse this September as Rachel and Tye tied the knot! Rachel and Tye currently reside in North Carolina so it was a pleasure helping coordinate their wedding day as they returned home to celebrate with friends and family! Belathee Photography arrived at the home of Rachel's parents for getting ready photos before the bridal party headed to Hollywood Schoolhouse for the big day! The couple crafted all of the hanging paper flowers which could be seen throughout the My favorite part of the ceremony was when they skyped in Rachel's Grandma who could not attend due to health issues, allowing her a chance to be a part of the ceremony. As the ceremony begin, Reverend Ray asked guests to say "Hi Grandma!" Truly a highlight of the day as there is nothing more important than sharing this day with your loved ones! After the I Do's, cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed on the outside lawn as the sunlight began to fade. Once guests were seated, they were dismissed to the buffet by humours multiple choice questions that left the guests rolling with laughter!

Cutting of the pie cued the start of the evening festivities! Dancing and a photo booth kept the guests entertained all evening!

Luminaries created by the Groom and his mother adorned the pathway outside as guests headed home. Congratulations Rachel & Tye!

Hiring BreeAnn to be our coordinator was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. She was initially suggested by the photographer (Dorothee of Belathee Photography...who was also amazing) and she turned out to be exceptional. She was calm, professional, and down-to-earth and had as many resources and suggestions as we needed. BreeAnn was a good mixture of hands on while still giving us lots of room to make the wedding day ours. She had great foresight for potential problems and is absolutely detail-focused.

As the day grew near, I relied on her more and more to keep the vendors organized and keep track of the timeline. During the wedding day itself, she kept everything running smoothly and called me twice to check in throughout the morning to make sure there were no glitches. At one point during the reception my husband and I realized we had no idea what to do next and needed to find her to ask. :) It was nice to know that we could relax and completely enjoy the event and our guests and not worry about the details.

Going into a wedding, I think most brides have no idea how complex things get trying to coordinate all members of the wedding party and the vendors. Hiring a coordinator seems like a luxury, but turns out to be relatively affordable - and also necessary unless you are having a fairly small wedding. BreeAnn was not only a good coordinator, but fun to work with. If I needed help with another event in the future I would love the chance to work with her again.
