Alyssa & Aaron - Oct. 16, 2010

October 16, 2011 was a spectacular day in the Seattle wedding world...and not to mention a gorgeous fall backdrop was on display! After working with local wedding photographer extraordinaire Alyssa Evans of Alyssa Rose Photography on a number of events, it was time for Alyssa to step in front of the camera herself. This time it was she who was set to marry the love of her life, Aaron. Pink Blossom Events had the privilege of coordinating the big day this past October, which was definitely a highlight of 2010! Planning with them is a ball as the two of them together are always full of smiles and laughter and not to mention crazy ideas!

{Before the story unravels below, you may want to check out Alyssa and Aaron's late night engagement story or their engagement photos by Laurel McConnell Photography. Too cute to miss!}

Luckily for Alyssa and Aaron, they have some pretty amazing friends who stepped in to capture the day! Kate of Kate McElewee Photography began the day, then Laurel of Laurel McConnell Photography stepped in soon after and Jenny Jimenez of Photo JJ took over the reception! As a last minute surprise, Barbie of Barbie Hull Photography chimed in to take some amazing shots as well that day! Let's just say there was paparazzi galore as Alyssa and Aron celebrated their love and Pink Blossom Events couldn't have been more thrilled to work with these talented ladies! The day began at the Comfort Suites in Queen Anne as Alyssa and her bridesmaids were donned with stylish hairdo's and makeup! Even Aaron received a fresh haircut by his mom that morning! (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)
After Alyssa and Aaron saw each other for the first time that day, it was off to the Seattle Center for photos with the bridal party! (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)With the giddiness of the soon to be newlyweds and under the direction of Laurel McConnell, their photos were anything but dull! (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)E.M.P. was the backdrop for fun with cotton candy and hot dogs! Too cute!(Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)

With the fall sun setting, it was time for the formal events to begin. As guests arrived at Parson's Garden they were treated to hot cocoa and marshmallows and a program sure to entertain all! Alyssa and Aaron captured a few intimate shots as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Umbrellas by Bella Umbrella added a special touch! (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)

Aaron's Father (aka: Best Man) strummed the guitar as the bridal party made their entrance. As Alyssa began her walk down the aisle, the groom took the guitar and stole the show by surprising Alyssa with a newly learned song. Alyssa's brother performed the ceremony in front of friends and family. (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)

Once they had officially tied "the knot" and "jumped over the broom" it was officially declared that they were husband and wife! (Kate McElewee & Laurel McConnell Photography)
With a leap of excitement it was time to party!

While Barbie Hull Photography was not an "official" photographer that day she did capture some amazing photos that afternoon using her blackbird! (Barbie Hull Photography)
The evening continued a couple of blocks away at Uptown Hideaway where the room was full of fall delight, crafted by the bride herself. (Remaining photos courtesy of Photo JJ)

Guests entered Uptown Hideaway and were immediately engulfed in entertainment! From the guestbook, to the time capsule filled with wishes to the caricature artist and the cootie catchers, there was unlimited fun around!
(Remaining photos courtesy of Photo JJ)As guests finished their dinner, toasts and dancing were underway as The Witness took stage! It was then time to "saw" the cake, a fitting touch to the wood cake stands handcrafted by Aaron. Alyssa surprised Aaron by having a mutual friend perform a special song to the newlyweds! Back to the entertainment it was as guests lined up for gelato by Bottega Italiana, nibbled on fall themed cupcakes, and made fools of themselves creating flip books with Flipped Out Productions!
(Photo JJ)The evening ended as Alyssa & Aaron left in a hearse reading "til death do us part." A unique ending to a spectacular event!Congratulations Alyssa & Aaron!

A big thank you to all who made this an event to remember!

BreeAnn!! ...we want to thank you SO much for all of your help on our wedding day and all the work you did beforehand as well!! It was truly such a beautiful day, more thank we even hoped it would be and it was so great having you be a part of it. Plus, it made it incredibly stress free for us knowing that you were taking care of the details, we just got to enjoy it. I don't know how people would ever get to the toasts, dance, cake, etc. if there wasn't someone there to make sure it happened, it all just goes by in a flash and you can get totally distracted talking to people, so thanks for keeping it flowing. We got so many compliments on the layout of the space and the decor so thank you for making sure that all came together as nicely as it did! ...you should know you were above and beyond what we expected. ~Alyssa
