WNUSA - October and December!

This past year I've truly enjoyed my position as the Seattle Chapter WNUSA Regional Director and couldn't have been more pleased with how the October and December meetings went!
October 2010
Jenny Harding of A New Chapter Wedding treated us to a thrilling House of Wax themed event at Sole Repair Shop in Capital Hill. With delicious catering by Scott Staples Catering and a murder mystery to kick off the event by Events on the Edge, their was excitement around! The highlight of the event were the speeches by Laura Cassidy of Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom and Blair deLaubenfels of Junebug Weddings who uncovered the mysteries of getting published in a wedding magazine and website. One More Cookie?

By now we've all had our share of holiday cookies but perhaps there is room for one more?

This December I received a box of homemade cookies from Cheryl, owner of Cookie Fairy, and had to share her sweet delivery to all!
Cheryl hand makes cookies throughout the year then ships them to you, your loved ones or colleagues to enjoy! The small hand-decorated boxes hold 25 cookies with an assortment of 5 different kinds. Her passion is the traditional favorites such as chocolate chip, molasses and peanut butter, however, come the holidays you may find a special cookie in your box!

At only $22, these make great gifts for Valentine's Day, Father's Day or a simple Thank You!To order a box of your own, contact Cheryl at 360-568-0868 or via email at [email protected]

Happy Holidays!

The best gifts in life I find are not those that come in neatly wrapped packages with pretty ribbons but the kind that come from the heart and are a simple genuine thank you. As a business owner, this past year has been filled with gifts like these. From the flowers delivered to my home the morning after a busy wedding weekend from a client who just wanted to say "thank you;" to the letter in the mail with an extra tip because they felt their first tip wasn't enough; to the thank you letters for a job well done.

Without you this day would've never happened! I can't thank you enough for all your help planning this day; dealing with vendors, you were my rock.
~ Christy

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Everything went perfect! I can't believe it! There is no way we could have done it without you. We said you were worth your weight in gold times 10 before the wedding and you proved us wrong! You were worth your weight in gold times a million! Having you was easily the best decision and investment we made for the whole wedding! We are laying on the beach soaking up the sun and sharing wedding stories, we got a million compliments on everything and people said it was the most fun wedding ever! ~Lindsay and Eric mother of the bride, we never could have pulled this off without your help...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to the high hoped dreams of were perfect. ~Lisa

Those unexpected surprises along with the letters of gratitude make my job well worth it! Wishing you a Holiday filled with the best gifts in life!

Happy Holidays!

Ashely and Loyal's Sunday afternoon wedding on October 17 at Lord Hill Farms had all the perfect touches for an afternoon of romance! From the burgundy and gold decor to the pig statues poking fun at Loyal's position in the police department, guests enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of food, family and celebration!

Thanks to Nickel Images who spent the day capturing the wedding! British Motor Coach provided the backdrop for Ashley and Loyal's photos!
As guests got their caricitures drawn by Sam Day, Mack Grout continued to serenade the crowd.

Hot Cocoa Delight!

On a cold winter day, nothing brings a smile to ones face like a warm cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows! As your guests arrive on your wedding day why not treat them to a cup of cocoa to warm up? This October, Alyssa and Aaron, treated their guests to a hot cocoa bar as they arrived for the outdoor ceremony at Parson's Garden in Seattle. A fun treat for kids of all ages to enjoy!
The personalized cups added a fun touch as guests sipped hot cocoa while the couple said their 'I Do's!'

Not a fan of hot chocolate? Consider a hot tea or apple cider bar for your wedding.
