May 30th - Linda and Josh!

There are photographers who can take amazing photos. Then there are those photographers who stand above the rest and are able to capture the true emotions of an event as if you were watching a live movie. Jenny Jimenez is one of those photographers and I had the opportunity to work with her again this spring for Linda and Josh's May 30 wedding at Hamilton Viewpoint Park and Georgetown Ballroom. Take a look below as Linda and Josh's wedding day unfolds.Linda and Josh, were are delight to work with. After finishing med school finals at the University of Washington and spending the week after moving across country to relocate for their residencies, they where thrilled to be back in Seattle for a week to celebrate their wedding (and upcoming graduation ceremony!) with their closest friends and families. With many guests flying in from around the world, they were treated to a true Seattle wedding. Think rain, umbrellas and an unforgettable Georgetown party! Laughter and smiles were abound as the Bridal Party got ready at Hotel Monaco, downtown Seattle. After their first glance, Linda and Josh toured the city with Jenny Jimenez. As the rain came down, Linda and Josh new that their dream of getting married outside, overlooking the city, was something that they couldn't give up as this was a once in a lifetime event and the Seattle landscape backdrop was key. With towels in hand, guests dried up the chairs and eagerly awaited the couples arrival. With more gortex gear and umbrellas then I've ever seen before at a wedding, the ceremony began with a prelude by Greensleeves Harp at Hamilton Viewpoint Park in West Seattle. After pronouncing them husband and wife, Rev. Stephanie Adams invited guests to join the couple for their reception at Georgetown Ballroom. While guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, the bridal party took family photos next door. When the dinner bell rang guests found their seats that were listed on the personalized beer coasters with matching beer mug favors to take home on top. After guests went through the buffet dinner catered by Tom Douglas Catering stories of growing up and soon to be adventures filled the room. Once Linda and Josh cut into their cake and asked guests to join them for their first dance, guests looked around wondering where that would be? At that moment, the screen rolled up and Linda and Josh entered the adjacent room where a live band hit the stage. Soul Senate had everyone on the floor, kicking up their heels, late into the night. As Linda and Josh were getting ready to depart they grabbed a quick bite from the late night hot dog stand setup for guests to enjoy. Congratulations Linda & Josh!
